Apart from Trinidad that was exceptionally wet to slightly dry from southwest to northeast, normal to below normal conditions prevailed throughout the islands of the eastern Caribbean during the month of June. Tobago was normal; Grenada and Barbados normal to slightly dry; St Vincent, St Thomas and St Maarten moderately dry; Saint Lucia, Antigua and Anguilla moderate to slightly dry; Martinique moderate to extremely dry; Dominica and Guadeloupe moderate to severely dry; St Kitts severe to extremely dry and St Croix exceptionally dry. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from extremely wet in northwest Guyana to exceptionally dry. In northern portions of Suriname. Aruba was slightly wet. Puerto Rico was predominantly moderately dry ranging to slightly dry in the extreme southwest and to severely dry in the extreme southeast. The Dominican Republic was severely dry in southern areas ranging to moderately wet in the north. Jamaica was moderately wet in central areas ranging to extremely dry in the west and to normal in eastern areas. Grand Cayman was moderately dry. Cuba was exceptionally dry in northern areas ranging to normal in the west and to slightly wet in eastern areas. Northern Bahamas ranged from exceptionally dry to moderately wet and Belize moderately wet in the south ranging to normal in the north and to extremely dry in southeastern areas.

 

April to June 2026

Mixed conditions were experienced across the islands of the eastern Caribbean over the three month period. Trinidad was extremely wet to extremely dry southwest to northeast; Tobago moderately dry to normal; Grenada and Saint Lucia slightly dry; Barbados, St Vincent, Martinique, St Croix and St Thomas moderately dry; Dominica normal to moderately wet; Guadeloupe slightly wet to severely dry; Antigua extremely dry; St Kitts extreme to moderately dry; St Maarten slightly dry to normal and Anguilla normal to slightly wet. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from exceptionally wet in northern portions of Guyana to moderately dry in northeast French Guiana. Aruba was normal. Puerto Rico was normal to severely dry from west to northeast. The Dominican Republic ranged from normal in the extreme southwest to mostly moderately wet. Jamaica was moderately wet in central areas ranging to normal in the west and to slightly dry in the east. Grand Cayman was extremely dry. Cuba was moderately dry in central areas ranging to normal in the west and east. Northern Bahamas was severely dry to moderately wet and Belize normal in the south to extremely dry on the eastern coastline.

 

January to June 2026

Over the six month period conditions across the eastern Caribbean were mixed. Trinidad was extremely wet to moderately dry; Tobago slightly dry to normal; Grenada  and Martinique slightly dry; Barbados normal to severely dry; St Vincent , Saint Lucia and Antigua moderate to severely dry; Dominica normal to very wet; Guadeloupe moderately wet to severely dry; St Kitts moderate to slightly dry; St Maarten, Anguilla and St Croix normal and St Thomas slightly wet. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from exceptionally wet in northern portions of Guyana to moderately dry along the central Suriname/French Guiana border. Aruba was normal. Puerto Rico was extremely wet to normal west to east. The Dominican Republic ranged from very wet in the southwest to extremely dry in the north and to extremely wet in the extreme east. Jamaica was exceptionally wet in northcentral areas ranging to very wet in the west and to normal in the east. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba was moderately dry in northern areas ranging to normal in the west and to very wet in the southeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from extremely dry to moderately wet and Belize from normal to severely dry.

 

July 2025 to June 2026

The eastern Caribbean was mostly normal to below normal over the twelve month period, with the exception of Trinidad which was exceptionally wet to exceptionally dry south to north and Anguilla which was mostly normal to slightly wet. Tobago was severe to slightly dry; Grenada and Saint Lucia exceptionally dry; Barbados and St Kitts moderately dry; St Vincent and Saint Lucia extreme to predominantly exceptionally dry; Martinique extreme to moderately dry; Dominica severely dry to slightly wet; Guadeloupe normal to extremely dry; Antigua moderate to slightly dry; St Maarten and St Croix slightly dry to normal and St Thomas normal. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from exceptionally wet in northwest Guyana to moderately dry in portions of Suriname and French Guiana. Aruba was normal. Puerto Rico was moderately wet to normal west to east. The Dominican Republic ranged from moderately wet in the southwest and east to extremely dry in the north. Jamaica was extremely dry in the west to normal in the east and to slightly wet in the north. Grand Cayman was moderately dry. Cuba ranged from slightly dry in west central areas to very wet in the extreme southeast and to severely dry in the extreme east. Northern Bahamas was normal to exceptionally wet and Belize moderately dry in the south to normal in the north.

 

July 2025 to June 2026

In the Guianas, conditions ranged from exceptionally wet to extremely dry. Aruba was normal. Puerto Rico was normal to moderately wet southeast to northwest. The Dominican Republic was moderately wet in the southwest to severely dry in the north and to slightly wet in the east. Jamaica ranged from extremely dry to normal west to east. Grand Cayman was moderately dry. Cuba ranged from moderately wet in the west to moderately dry in the east and west-central areas, with slightly wet conditions in the extreme southeast. Northern Bahamas was moderately dry to moderately wet and Belize severely dry to extremely wet from south to northeast.
