Conditions throughout the eastern Caribbean were mostly normal to below normal during the month of July, apart from Trinidad which was mostly normal ranging to slightly wet in the southwest and to slightly dry in the extreme northeast. Tobago, Barbados and St Thomas were slight to moderately dry; Grenada normal; St Vincent extremely dry; Saint Lucia and Martinique mostly moderate to severely dry; Dominica and St Maarten moderate to exceptionally dry; Guadeloupe and St. Kitts exceptional to slightly dry; Antigua moderately dry; St Croix exceptionally dry; and Anguilla severe to slightly dry. In the Guianas, conditions varied from exceptionally wet in northwestern Guyana to exceptionally dry in French Guiana and eastern Suriname. Aruba was normal, but Curacao slightly dry. Puerto Rico was mostly exceptionally dry ranging to moderately dry in the southeast and to slightly wet in the northwest. The Dominican Republic was normal ranging to moderately dry in the southwest and to exceptionally dry in the extreme southeast. Jamaica was very wet in central areas ranging to exceptionally dry in the extreme northwest and in the east. Grand Cayman was slight to moderately dry. Cuba was normal in western areas ranging to exceptionally dry in southeastern areas. Northern Bahamas was severely dry to slightly wet and Belize extremely wet in central areas ranging to normal in the southwest and to moderately dry on the northeastern coastline.
May to July 2026
Over the three month period, conditions throughout the eastern Caribbean were mostly normal to below normal, with the exception of Trinidad which ranged from moderately wet in southwestern areas to slightly dry in the extreme northeast. Tobago, Barbados, Saint Lucia and St Thomas were moderately dry; Grenada normal to slightly dry; St Vincent severe to moderately dry; Martinique slight to moderately dry; Dominica, Guadeloupe and St Maarten moderate to exceptionally dry; Antigua severely dry; St Kitts severe to exceptionally dry; Anguilla severe to slightly dry and St Croix severe to extremely dry. Conditions in the Guianas varied from exceptionally wet in northwestern Guyana and southern Suriname to severely dry in northern French Guiana. Aruba was normal and Curacao normal to slightly dry. In the Guianas; conditions varied from exceptionally wet in the north of Guyana and southern Suriname to moderately dry in western parts of French Guiana. Aruba was normal and Curacao was slight to predominantly moderately dry. Puerto Rico was mostly normal, ranging to exceptionally dry in the south and to exceptionally wet in the north. The Dominican Republic was normal in southern areas ranging to moderately wet in the north. Jamaica was exceptionally wet in central areas ranging to normal in the extreme west and to moderately dry in the east. Grand Cayman was severely dry. Cuba ranged from moderately dry in central areas to normal in the west and to moderately wet in the northeast. Northern Bahamas was exceptionally dry to normal and Belize was predominantly normal with slightly wet conditions in central areas and ranging to moderately dry on the northeastern coastline.
August 2025 to July 2026
Predominantly normal to below normal conditions prevailed throughout the islands of the eastern Caribbean over the twelve month period. Trinidad was slight to severely dry; Tobago severely dry; Grenada extremely dry; Barbados moderately dry; St Vincent extreme to exceptionally dry; Saint Lucia exceptionally dry; Martinique exceptional to moderately dry; Dominica extremely dry to slightly wet southwest to northeast; Guadeloupe moderately wet to moderately dry; Antigua and St Croix predominantly slightly dry to normal; St Kitts predominantly moderate to severely dry; St Maarten moderately dry to normal and Anguilla and St Thomas normal. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from exceptionally wet in western areas to severely dry around the central Suriname/French Guiana border. Aruba was predominantly slightly dry to normal and Curacao moderately dry. Puerto Rico ranged from extremely dry in the south to extremely wet in the northwest. The Dominican Republic ranged from normal in central and northern areas to moderately wet in southwestern areas and to very wet in the extreme east. Jamaica was exceptionally dry in the west to normal in the east and to moderately wet in the north. Grand Cayman was moderate to severely dry.
