Rainfall in the eastern Caribbean was predominantly normal to below normal for the month of June. Trinidad and Antigua were normal to slightly dry; Tobago normal to severely dry; Grenada, Barbados, St Vincent, St Croix and St. Thomas normal; Saint Lucia slightly wet in the south to moderately dry in the north; Martinique slight to extremely dry from south to north; Dominica severe to slightly dry; Guadeloupe mostly normal to extremely dry from west to east; St Kitts moderate to extremely dry; and St Maarten moderately dry. Most of the Guianas was normal to slightly wet, but ranged from very wet in north eastern French Guiana to moderately dry in north western French Guiana. Curacao was normal to slightly wet and Aruba was normal. Puerto Rico ranged from predominantly normal in central areas to moderately dry in the southeast and to slightly wet in the north west. Hispaniola ranged from normal in most of Haiti and north western Dominican Republic to extremely dry in east central Dominican Republic. Jamaica ranged from normal to very wet in the extreme north. Grand Cayman was moderately dry. Cuba ranged from moderately dry in western areas to normal in the extreme west and to moderately wet in the extreme south-eastern tip. Northern Bahamas though predominantly normal was slightly dry in the north. Belize was mostly normal with the exception of the extreme south which was slightly dry and the south east which was moderately wet.

April to June 2020

Over the three month period, rainfall in the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal. Trinidad was normal to moderately dry from the southeast to the northwest; Tobago and Guadeloupe moderate to exceptionally dry; Grenada normal; Barbados slightly dry; St Vincent slightly dry to normal in the extreme north-eastern border; Saint Lucia normal to exceptionally dry from south to north; Martinique extremely dry; Dominica, Antigua and St Maarten severe to extremely dry; St Kitts severely dry; St Thomas and St Croix moderately dry. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal to moderately dry in northern Guyana, northern Suriname , northern  French Guiana ,  and the southern Suriname/French Guiana border, and to exceptionally wet in north eastern French Guiana. Curacao was slightly dry and Aruba moderate to severely dry. Puerto Rico ranged from moderate to slightly dry from south to north. Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry in southern areas to normal in Northern Dominican Republic. Jamaica ranged from extremely dry in the west to slightly dry in the east and moderately wet in the north. Grand Cayman was extremely dry. Cuba was predominantly normal, ranging to moderately wet in the extreme west and southeast to moderately dry in the extreme east. Northern Bahamas ranged from moderate to exceptionally wet and Belize from very wet in central areas to normal in the north and west, and to slightly dry in the extreme southwest.

January to June 2020

Rainfall over the six month period in the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal. Trinidad and Tobago were slight to severely dry; Grenada, St Kitts, St Croix, St Maarten and St Thomas normal; Barbados slight to moderately dry; St Vincent moderately dry; saint Lucia moderate to exceptionally dry from south to north; Martinique extreme to severely dry south to north; Dominica normal to moderately dry west to east; Guadeloupe normal to exceptionally dry west to east; Antigua and Anguilla normal to slightly dry. In the Guiana’s, conditions ranged from normal over much of the region to exceptionally dry in northern Guyana, southern Suriname/ French Guiana border and north western French Guiana, and to moderately wet in north eastern French Guiana. Curacao was normal and Aruba moderate to slightly dry from west to east. Puerto Rico ranged from moderately dry in the south to very wet in the north. Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry in eastern areas to normal in the north. Jamaica ranged from normal in most of the country to extremely dry in the west, to moderately dry in the east and to slightly wet in the north. Grand Cayman was exceptionally dry. Cuba ranged from normal in the west and south east to moderately dry in west central areas and severely dry in the extreme east. Northern Bahamas was normal to moderately wet and Belize ranged from moderately dry in the southwest to moderately wet in east and central areas.

July 2019 to June 2020

Over the twelve month period, rainfall in the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal except for St. Thomas that was normal to slightly wet. Trinidad ranged from moderately dry in the south east to exceptionally dry in western areas and to slightly dry in the extreme north east ; Tobago normal to moderately dry; Grenada slight to moderately dry; Barbados extreme to exceptionally dry; St Vincent and Saint Lucia exceptionally dry; Martinique moderate to severely dry; Dominica and St Kitts normal to slightly dry; Guadeloupe normal to exceptionally dry west to east; Antigua, St Maarten and Anguilla normal; and St Croix severe to extremely dry. Conditions in the Guiana’s ranged from normal over much of the region to moderately wet in north central Guyana and northeast central French Guiana to exceptionally dry in northwest French Guiana. Curacao was moderately dry and Aruba slight to moderately dry. Puerto Rico ranged from extremely dry in the extreme southwest to moderately wet in the northeast. Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry in central areas of the Dominican Republic to normal in northern and central areas of Haiti and severely dry in the southwest Haiti. Jamaica ranged from moderately dry in the extreme west and eastern areas to normal in central areas. Grand Cayman was exceptionally dry. Cuba ranged from slightly wet in the west and normal in the eastern half of the island to exceptionally dry in west central areas. Northern Bahamas ranged from very wet to extremely dry, and Belize from slightly dry in central areas to severely dry in the west and to extremely dry in northern areas.

July 2018 to June 2020

Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry over most of the island to moderately dry in in the north. Jamaica ranged from normal in the southwest to extremely dry in the east. Grand Cayman was exceptionally dry. Cuba ranged from slightly wet in the west to exceptionally dry in the east. Northern Bahamas ranged from moderately wet to extremely dry, and Belize from normal in the south to exceptionally dry in the west and northern areas.
