Mixed temperature anomalies prevailed in the eastern Caribbean for October 2020. Trinidad was between 0.75 and 1.50 oC warmer; Tobago was between 1.50 to 0.25 oC warmer west to east; Grenada, St. Croix and St. Thomas were between 0.25 to 0.75 oC warmer; Barbados ranged from 0.75 oC cooler to 0.75 oC warmer; Saint Lucia was between 0 to 0.75 oC cooler south to north; Martinique was between 0 to 0.75 warmer south to north; Dominica ranged from 0.75 oC warmer in the south to 0.25 oC cooler in the north; Guadeloupe and Antigua were between 0.25 to 0.75 cooler oC; St. Kitts was between 0.25 cooler to 0.25 oC warmer south to north and St. Maarten was between 0 and 0.75 oC warmer. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from at least 0.25 oC cooler in southeastern Guyana, southern and central Suriname up to 2.50 oC warmer in north and central French Guiana. Aruba and Curacao were between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer. Puerto Rico and Haiti were between 0.25 and 1.50 oC warmer. Jamaica and Cuba were between 0.75 to 1.50 oC warmer. Grand Cayman was between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer. Belize ranged from 1.50 to 0.25 oC warmer south to north with a small area in central Belize ranging up to 2.50 oC warmer. Northern Bahamas was between 0.75 and 2.50 oC warmer.

Temperatures in the eastern Caribbean were warmer than the 1981 – 2010 average with the exception of Guadeloupe which was between 0 to 0.75 oC cooler and Antigua which was between 0 to 0.25 oC cooler. Trinidad, Tobago, Grenada and St. Thomas were between 0.75 to 1.50 oC warmer; Saint Lucia and St. Kitts were between 0 to 0.75 oC warmer, Martinique was between 0.25 to 1.50 oC warmer; Barbados and Dominica were between 0 to 1.50 oC warmer; St. Maarten and St. Croix were between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer. Most of the Guianas were between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer, with conditions ranging from at least0 oC warmer in northeast and southern Suriname up to 1.50 oC warmer in northeastern Guyana and eastern French Guiana. Aruba and Curacao were between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer. Puerto and Cuba were between 0.25 and 1.50 oC warmer. Haiti and Grand Cayman were between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer. Jamaica was between 0.75 and 1.50 oC warmer. Belize was predominantly between 0.75 and 1.50 oC warmer with a small area in northeast being between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer. Trinidad, Tobago, Grenada, Martinique, St. Croix and St. Thomas were between 0.75 and 1.50 oC warmer; Saint Lucia, St. Kitts and St. Maarten were between 0.25 to 0.75 oC warmer; Barbados and Dominica were between 0.25 to 1.50 oC warmer; Guadeloupe and Antigua were between 0.25 oC cooler to 0.25 oC warmer. The Guianas were predominantly between 0.25 to 0.75 oC warmer, ranging from at least 0.25 oC cooler in northeast Suriname up to 1.50 oC warmer in west-central French Guiana. Aruba and Curacao were between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer. Puerto Rico, Jamaica and Grand Cayman were between 0.75 and 1.50 oC warmer. Cuba was predominantly between 0.75 and 1.50 oC warmer with the southeastern tip between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer. Haiti was between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer. Northern Bahamas was between 0.75 and 2.50 oC warmer. Belize was predominantly between 0.75 and 1.50 oC with northeast and southeast portions between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer.
November 2019 to October 2020

Trinidad, Tobago and St. Thomas were between 0.75 and 1.50 oC warmer; Grenada, Saint Lucia, St. Kitts, St. Maarten and St. Croix were between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer; Barbados and Martinique were between 0.25 to 1.50 oC warmer; Dominica was between 0 and 0.75 oC warmer and Antigua between 0 and 0.25 oC warmer. The Guianas were predominantly between 0.75 and 1.50 oC warmer, with conditions ranging from between 0 to 0.25 oC warmer in northeast Suriname and French Guiana up to 2.50 oC warmer in central and northern French Guiana.
