Mixed conditions prevailed throughout the islands of the eastern Caribbean during the month of July. Trinidad was extremely wet to normal; Tobago normal to exceptionally wet; Grenada, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Antigua, St Kitts and St Maarten normal; Barbados moderately dry to normal; St Vincent exceptional to moderately dry; Saint Lucia normal to moderately wet; Martinique, Anguilla and St Croix slightly wet to normal and St Thomas moderately wet. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from exceptionally wet to exceptionally dry. Aruba and Curacao slightly wet to normal. Puerto Rico ranged from moderately wet in the extreme west and east to extremely wet in central areas. Hispaniola ranged from extremely dry in southwestern Haiti to exceptionally wet in central Dominican Republic. Jamaica was predominantly normal ranging to moderately dry in the extreme east. Grand Cayman was slightly wet. Cuba ranged from normal in central areas to extremely dry in west central areas and severely dry in the east. Northern Bahamas ranged from exceptionally wet to exceptionally dry and Belize was predominantly normal ranging to slightly dry in eastern and central areas.

May to July 2022

Mixed conditions prevailed throughout the islands of the eastern Caribbean over the three month period. Trinidad ranged from extremely wet to normal; Tobago slight to very wet; Grenada slightly wet to normal; Barbados, Martinique and Dominica moderately dry to normal; St Vincent severe to slightly dry; Saint Lucia normal to moderately wet; Guadeloupe moderate to severely dry; Antigua and St Thomas predominantly moderate to slightly dry; St Kitts slight to severely dry; St Maarten extremely dry to normal; Anguilla slightly dry to moderately wet and St Croix moderate to  predominantly severely dry. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from exceptionally wet to slightly dry. Aruba was slightly wet and Curacao was normal. Puerto Rico was slight to moderately dry. Hispaniola ranged from exceptional to predominantly dry in southern and central Haiti and to moderately wet in central Dominican Republic. Jamaica was severely dry in southern areas to normal in the northwest. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba ranged from very wet in the extreme north to moderately dry in the west and normal in eastern areas. Northern Bahamas ranged from exceptionally wet to normal and Belize ranged from moderately dry in the west to normal.

February to July 2022

Mixed conditions prevailed throughout the islands of the eastern Caribbean over the six month period. Trinidad ranged from exceptionally wet to normal; Tobago moderate to very wet; Grenada and Saint Lucia slightly wet to normal; Barbados, Dominica and St Thomas normal; St Vincent exceptional to moderately dry; Martinique, Guadeloupe and St Kitts normal to moderately dry; Antigua and St Croix moderate to slightly dry; St Maarten extremely dry to normal; Anguilla moderately dry to moderately wet. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from exceptionally wet to moderately dry. Aruba was slightly wet to normal and Curacao was moderately wet. Puerto Rico was normal in western areas to moderately wet in the northeast. Hispaniola ranged from extremely dry in southern Haiti to slightly wet in northern Dominican Republic. Jamaica was predominantly normal ranging to moderately dry in the extreme east. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba ranged from exceptionally wet in the extreme north to normal in the west and east. Northern Bahamas ranged from exceptionally wet to slightly dry and Belize ranged from moderately dry in the west to very wet in the north.

August 2021 to July 2022

Apart from Trinidad that ranged from exceptionally wet to normal, normal to below normal conditions prevailed throughout the eastern Caribbean over the twelve month period.  Tobago and St Thomas were normal; Grenada normal to moderately dry in the north; Barbados and St Kitts severe to slightly dry; St Vincent extreme to moderately dry; Saint Lucia slight to moderately dry; Martinique moderate to exceptionally dry northwest to east; Dominica slight to extremely dry; Guadeloupe severe to exceptionally dry; Antigua exceptional to extremely dry; St Maarten exceptionally dry to normal south to north; Anguilla slightly dry to moderately wet and St Croix moderate to severely dry. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from slightly dry to exceptionally wet. Aruba and Curacao were normal. Puerto Rico ranged from moderately dry in the southwest to normal in the east. Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry in the extreme south of Haiti to normal in northern areas of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Jamaica ranged from slightly wet in the west to extremely dry in the east. Grand Cayman ranged from normal to slightly wet. Cuba ranged from moderately wet in the extreme north to extremely dry in the west and slightly dry in the east. Northern Bahamas ranged from exceptionally wet to moderately dry and Belize was predominantly normal ranging to moderately dry in the west.

August 2020 to July 2022

Over the two year period, apart from in the southernmost islands, mainly normal to below normal conditions were experienced throughout the eastern Caribbean. Trinidad ranged from exceptionally wet to normal; Tobago normal to predominantly slightly wet; Grenada, Barbados and St Thomas normal; St Vincent extreme to severely dry; Saint Lucia and St Croix moderate to slightly dry; Martinique moderate to severely dry; Dominica moderately dry to normal; Guadeloupe normal to exceptionally dry; Antigua extreme to exceptionally dry; St Kitts slight to severely dry; St Maarten extremely dry to normal and Anguilla slightly dry to moderately wet. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal to exceptionally wet. Aruba and Curacao were normal. Puerto Rico was predominantly normal with slightly dry conditions in the extreme southwest. Hispaniola was predominantly normal ranging to extremely dry in the extreme south of Haiti and to slightly dry in the extreme east of the Dominican Republic. Jamaica was predominantly normal ranging to exceptionally dry in the extreme west, to moderately dry in the east, to slightly dry in the south and to slightly wet in the north. Cuba ranged from very wet in central areas to slightly dry in the west and normal in the east.  Northern Bahamas ranged from slight to very wet and Belize ranged from moderately dry in central areas to normal in the south and very wet in the north.

April to June 2022

Conditions throughout the eastern Caribbean were predominantly normal to below normal over the three month period except for Trinidad that ranged from moderately wet to normal west to east. Tobago was slightly wet in western areas to predominantly normal; Grenada and Dominica normal to slightly dry; Barbados and Saint Lucia normal; St Vincent moderate to slightly dry; Martinique normal to severely dry; Guadeloupe moderate to exceptionally dry; Antigua extreme to moderately dry; St Kitts severe to moderately dry; St Maarten severe to exceptionally dry; Anguilla exceptional to extremely dry; St Croix and St Thomas exceptionally dry. In the Guianas conditions ranged from slightly dry to extremely wet. Aruba was slightly wet to normal and Curacao was slight to moderately wet. Puerto Rico ranged from moderate to exceptionally dry. Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry in southern Haiti to normal in eastern Dominican Republic. Jamaica was predominantly normal ranging to extremely dry in the extreme west, slightly dry in the extreme east, moderately  dry in the south and to moderately wet in the north. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba ranged from normal in the west and extreme east to extremely wet in the extreme southeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from very to exceptionally wet and Belize was mostly normal ranging to moderately dry in the west and to very wet in the north.

January to June 2022

Apart from Trinidad that ranged from moderately wet to normal, predominantly normal to below normal conditions were seen over the six month period in the eastern Caribbean. Tobago was slightly wet to predominantly normal; Grenada slight to moderately dry; Barbados, Saint Lucia and Dominica normal; St Vincent severe to slightly dry; Martinique and Guadeloupe normal to severely dry; Antigua severe to predominantly moderately dry; St Kitts predominantly normal to slightly dry in the north; St Maarten severe to exceptionally dry; Anguilla exceptional to extremely dry; St Croix moderately dry and St Thomas normal in the extreme west to predominantly slightly dry. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from moderately dry on the northern Guyana/ Suriname border to exceptionally wet in eastern French Guiana. Aruba and Curacao were normal. Puerto Rico was predominantly normal with slightly dry conditions in western areas. Hispaniola ranged from extremely dry in the southwest to normal in the northeast. Jamaica ranged from normal in the west to extremely dry in the east. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba ranged from extremely wet in central areas to normal in the west and east. Northern Bahamas ranged from exceptionally wet to normal and Belize from normal in the west to very wet in northeastern areas.

Over the two year period conditions in the eastern Caribbean were normal to below normal with the exception of Trinidad which ranged from exceptionally wet to normal. Tobago, Barbados and St Thomas were normal; Grenada and St Croix normal to slightly dry; St Vincent predominantly extreme to severely dry; Saint Lucia and Martinique severe to moderately dry; Dominica moderately dry to normal; Guadeloupe moderate to extremely dry; Antigua predominantly extreme to exceptionally dry; St Kitts predominantly slight to moderately dry; St Maarten and Anguilla severely dry. Trinidad was moderately dry to normal; Tobago and Grenada normal; Barbados slightly dry; St. Vincent normal in the extreme south to predominantly slightly dry; saint Lucia and Anguilla moderately dry; Martinique, Dominica, St Kitts and St Maarten slight to moderately dry; Guadeloupe moderate to extremely dry; Antigua severe in the extreme south to predominantly moderately dry; St Croix and St Thomas extremely dry. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from exceptionally wet   in the extreme south of Guyana to slightly dry at the south-central Suriname/French Guiana border, and to moderately dry in coastal areas of Guyana. Aruba was moderately dry and Curacao was slightly dry. Puerto Rico was predominantly exceptionally dry to extremely dry in eastern areas. Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry in western and southwestern areas ranging to normal in northern and eastern areas of the Dominican Republic. Jamaica ranged from exceptionally dry in the extreme west to slightly dry in the east, with slightly wet conditions in the extreme northwest. Grand Cayman was moderately dry. Cuba ranged from normal in western areas to moderately wet in extreme northern, north eastern and southeastern areas. Northern Bahamas ranged from exceptionally wet to slightly dry and Belize ranged from moderately dry in the west to moderately wet in eastern and southern areas.

March to May 2022

Over the three month period, conditions throughout the eastern Caribbean were predominantly normal to below normal, with a few wet areas in the southern portions of the chain.. Trinidad and Tobago ranged from moderately wet to normal; Grenada, Barbados and Dominica normal; St Vincent and Saint Lucia moderately dry; Martinique and Antigua slight to moderately dry; Guadeloupe normal to moderately dry; St Kitts slightly dry to normal; St Maarten and Anguilla severe to moderately dry; St Croix severe to extremely dry and St Thomas predominantly severe to moderately dry. Conditions in the Guianas raged from slightly dry on the extreme northern border of Guyana to exceptionally wet in the extreme east of French Guiana. Aruba was normal and Curacao was predominantly slightly wet with normal conditions in the extreme North West and moderately wet conditions in the extreme south east. Puerto Rico ranged from normal in extreme western areas to moderately dry in the east. Hispaniola ranged from extremely dry in southwestern areas to normal in the extreme west and slightly wet in eastern areas. Jamaica was predominantly normal ranging to slightly dry in the south and to slightly wet in the northwest. Grand Cayman ranged from slightly dry to normal. Cuba ranged from predominantly normal in western and central areas to moderately wet in northeastern and southeastern areas. Northern Bahamas ranged from exceptionally wet to normal and Belize from moderately dry in western areas to exceptionally wet in the east.

December 2021 to May 2022

In the Guianas conditions ranged from moderately dry to exceptionally wet. Aruba was predominantly normal ranging to slightly dry in the extreme west and Curacao was normal. Puerto Rico was predominantly normal ranging to slightly dry in the south and to moderately wet on the extreme northeast. Hispaniola ranged from severely dry southwest to normal in northern and eastern areas. Jamaica was predominantly normal ranging to extremely dry in the extreme southeast and to slightly wet on the northern border. Grand Cayman was normal. Normal to below normal conditions were seen throughout the twelve month period in the eastern Caribbean except for Trinidad that ranged from extremely wet to normal. Tobago ranged from normal to severely dry; Grenada, St Croix and St Thomas normal; Barbados moderately dry to normal; St Vincent predominantly severe to moderately dry in the south; Saint Lucia and Martinique ranged from severe to  exceptionally dry ; Dominica moderately dry; Guadeloupe moderate to exceptionally dry; Antigua predominantly exceptionally dry to extremely dry in the  extreme west; St Kitts normal to slightly dry and St Maarten and Anguilla severely dry. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal in most of Guyana to exceptionally wet in French Guiana. Aruba was slightly dry and Curacao was normal. Puerto Rico was predominantly normal ranging to slightly dry in the southwest and to slightly wet in the northeast. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from extremely wet to moderately dry. Aruba was normal and Curacao very to moderately wet.  Puerto Rico moderately wet in the extreme west to predominantly normal. The Dominican Republic ranged from severely dry to very wet west to east. Jamaica ranged from normal in the extreme south to extremely wet in the northwest. Grand Cayman was very wet. Cuba ranged from normal in east central areas to moderately wet in the west and to very wet in the extreme southeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to very wet and Belize ranged from extremely dry in the west to extremely wet in a small area in the east.

February to April 2022

Over the three month period conditions throughout the eastern Caribbean were predominantly normal to above normal. Trinidad ranged from exceptionally wet to normal south to north; Tobago, Grenada, Dominica, Guadeloupe moderately wet to normal; Barbados and St Thomas very to extremely wet; St Vincent predominantly moderate to slightly dry; Saint Lucia and Antigua normal; Martinique and St Maarten normal to slightly dry ; St Kitts  slightly wet to normal; Anguilla normal and St Croix slightly wet to normal. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal to exceptionally wet. Aruba was normal and Curacao was moderately wet. Puerto Rico ranged from moderate to exceptionally wet west to east. The Dominican Republic ranged from normal to moderately wet. Jamaica ranged from exceptionally wet in the west to normal in southern and northern areas. Grand Cayman `ranged from slight to moderately wet in the extreme east. Cuba ranged from moderately dry in west central areas to moderately wet in the extreme west and eastern areas. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to moderately dry and Belize ranged from moderately dry in the west to exceptionally wet in the east.

 

November 2021 to April 2022

Conditions throughout the eastern Caribbean were predominantly normal to below normal over the six month period. Trinidad ranged from exceptionally wet in the south to extremely dry o+n the extreme northern border. Tobago and St Croix moderately dry; Grenada predominantly normal to slightly dry; Barbados, Dominica and St Maarten normal to moderately dry; St Vincent and Saint Lucia predominantly extreme to exceptionally dry; Martinique exceptionally dry in the south to moderately dry in the north; Guadeloupe slight to extremely dry; Antigua extreme to moderately dry; St Kitts and St Thomas normal;  Anguilla predominantly normal to slightly wet in the north. In the Guianas, conditions were normal to exceptionally wet. Aruba was slightly dry to normal and Curacao was normal. Puerto Rico ranged from normal to moderately wet. The Dominican Republic was predominantly normal with slightly dry conditions on the southern border. Jamaica ranged from moderately wet in the west to normal in the east. Grand Cayman ranged from slight to predominantly moderately wet.  Cuba was predominantly normal ranging to moderately dry in west central areas and to moderately wet in the extreme southeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from slightly wet to normal and Belize was predominantly normal ranging to moderately dry in the west and to moderately wet in the east.

In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal to exceptionally wet. Aruba was slightly dry and Curacao was normal. Puerto Rico ranged from normal to moderately wet south to north. The Dominican Republic ranged from moderately dry in southern areas to normal. Jamaica ranged from moderately wet in northwestern areas to extremely dry on the southeastern border. Grand Cayman ranged from normal to slightly wet. Cuba ranged from exceptionally dry in the extreme southwest to moderately wet in the southeast. Jamaica ranged from extremely wet on the extreme northwestern border to slightly wet in the west and to extremely dry in the east. Grand Cayman ranged from normal to predominantly slightly wet. Cuba ranged from slightly dry in western areas to very wet in the southeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from extremely wet to normal and Belize ranged from predominantly normal to moderately wet.
