Predominantly normal to above normal conditions prevailed throughout the islands of the eastern Caribbean during the month of March. Trinidad ranged from very to slightly wet southwest to northeast; Tobago, Grenada, Barbados and St Vincent normal; Saint Lucia , Martinique , St Maarten and Anguilla normal to slightly wet; Dominica and Guadeloupe exceptionally wet to normal; Antigua moderately wet to normal; St Kitts extreme to slightly wet; St Croix slightly dry to normal and St Thomas moderate to very wet. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from exceptionally wet to severely dry. Aruba was slightly wet and Curacao was moderately wet. Puerto Rico ranged from slight to very wet. Hispaniola ranged from extremely wet in central Dominican Republic to slightly wet in western Haiti and to normal in eastern Dominican Republic. Jamaica ranged from predominantly normal to exceptionally wet in the west, slightly wet in the east and to moderately dry in the extreme northwest. Grand Cayman ranged from moderate to slightly dry. Cuba ranged from extremely dry in west central areas to moderately wet in the northeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to moderately dry and Belize ranged from normal in the west to extremely wet in the east.

January to March 2022

Mixed conditions were experienced over the three month period throughout the eastern Caribbean. Trinidad, Tobago, Grenada and St Maarten normal; Barbados, and Anguilla normal to slightly wet; St Vincent moderate to slightly dry; Saint Lucia slightly dry in the southwest to predominantly normal; Martinique normal to severely dry; Dominica normal to moderately wet; Guadeloupe extremely wet in the west to severely dry in the east; St Kitts exceptional to very wet; St Croix extreme to moderately wet; Antigua normal and St Thomas very to moderately wet. In The Guianas conditions ranged from normal to exceptionally wet. Aruba and Curacao were normal. Puerto Rico ranged from normal to exceptionally wet west to east. Hispaniola ranged from normal in southern areas to moderately wet in the north. Jamaica ranged from extremely wet in the west to moderately wet in the south and to severely dry in the northwest. Grand Cayman was slight to moderately wet. Cuba was slightly wet in the west ranging to moderately dry in the northwest and southeast and to moderately wet in the northeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from moderately wet to moderately dry and Belize was normal in the west to very wet in the east.

October 2021 to March 2022

Normal to below normal conditions prevailed over the six month period in the eastern Caribbean. Trinidad, Tobago and St Kitts normal; Grenada, and St Thomas normal to slightly dry; Barbados and Antigua severe to exceptionally dry; St Vincent severe to extremely dry; Saint Lucia exceptional to moderately dry; Martinique exceptional to slightly dry; Dominica slightly wet to extremely dry; Guadeloupe normal to exceptionally dry west to east; St Maarten normal to moderately dry; St Croix slight to moderately dry west to east and Anguilla normal to slightly wet. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from moderately dry to exceptionally wet. Aruba was slightly dry and Curacao was normal. Puerto Rico ranged from slightly dry in western areas to very wet in the north. Hispaniola was predominantly normal with slightly wet conditions on the central Haiti/ Dominican Republic border, ranging to extremely dry in the extreme southeast of the Dominican Republic.  Jamaica was predominantly normal ranging to slightly wet in the extreme west. Grand Cayman ranged from normal in the west to slightly wet in the east. The western half of Cuba ranged from slight to exceptionally dry, while the eastern half was normal. Northern Bahamas ranged from slightly wet to slightly dry and Belize ranged from slightly dry in western and southern areas to slightly wet in the northeast.

April 2021 to March 2022

Predominantly normal to below normal conditions were seen throughout the eastern Caribbean over the twelve month period. Trinidad moderate to slightly wet; Tobago, Grenada and St Thomas normal; Barbados extremely dry to normal; St Vincent moderate to severely dry; Saint Lucia predominantly severe to extremely dry; Martinique exceptional to extremely dry; Dominica moderate to extremely dry; Guadeloupe moderate to exceptionally dry; St Kitts normal to moderately dry; Antigua exceptionally dry; St Maarten severely dry to normal; Anguilla normal to slightly wet and St Croix moderately dry. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from slight to exceptionally wet. Aruba was slightly dry and Curacao was normal. Puerto Rico ranged from normal in southern areas to moderately wet in the north. Hispaniola was predominantly normal with slightly wet conditions on the central Haiti/Dominican Republic border ranging to moderately dry in the extreme southwest of Haiti and to severely dry in the extreme southeast of the Dominican Republic. Jamaica was mostly normal with slightly dry conditions in the extreme west and south, extremely dry areas in the east and slightly wet in the northwest. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba ranged from exceptionally dry in the west to slightly wet in the southeast. Northern Bahamas was normal to moderately dry and Belize ranged from moderately dry in the south to normal in central and northern areas.

April 2020 to March 2022

Over the two year period conditions in the eastern Caribbean were predominantly normal to below normal. Trinidad and Anguilla slightly wet to normal; Tobago and St Thomas normal; Grenada and Barbados predominantly normal to slightly dry; St Vincent extreme to severely dry; Saint Lucia and Martinique moderate to extremely dry; Dominica extreme to slightly dry; Guadeloupe moderate to exceptionally dry; Antigua extreme to exceptionally dry; St Kitts slight to moderately dry; St Maarten extremely dry to normal and St Croix moderately dry. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from 1.50 oC cooler to 1.50 oC warmer. Aruba was between 0.25 oC cooler to 0.25 oC warmer and Curacao was between 0 and 0.75 oC cooler. December 2021 to February 2022

Mixed temperature anomalies prevailed in the eastern Caribbean for the period December 2021 to February 2022. Trinidad, St. Thomas and St. Croix were between 0 to 0.25 oC warmer; Tobago, Grenada, and St. Maarten between 0.25 and 0.75 to oC warmer; Barbados was between 1.50 oC cooler to 1.50 oC warmer; Saint Lucia was between 0.25 oC warmer to predominantly 0.75 oC cooler; Martinique was between 0.25 oC cooler  and 0.75 oC warmer; Dominica was between 0.75 oC warmer and 0.75 oC  cooler south to north;  Guadeloupe was between 0 to 0.75 oC cooler; Antigua was between 0.25 cooler to 0.25 oC warmer; St. Kitts was between 0 and 0.75 oC warmer. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from at least 1.50 oC cooler to 1.50 oC warmer. Aruba was between 0 and 0.75 oC warmer and Curacao was between 0 and 0.25 oC cooler. Puerto Rico was between 1.50 oC warmer and 0.25 oC cooler. Dominican Republic was predominantly between 0.25 oC and 0.75 oC warmer with the east between 0 and 0.25 oC warmer. Jamaica and Grand Cayman were between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer. Cuba and Northern Bahamas were between 0.25 and 1.50 oC warmer. Belize was between 0 to 2.50 oC warmer.

September 2021 to February 2022

Puerto Rico ranged from normal in the west to exceptionally wet in the northeast. Hispaniola was predominantly normal ranging to slightly wet in northern Dominican Republic. Jamaica was predominantly normal ranging to slightly dry on the extreme northwestern border and slightly wet in the northeast. Grand Cayman was predominantly normal to slightly wet in the east. Cuba was predominantly normal with slightly wet conditions on the northeastern border. Northern Bahamas ranged from moderately wet to normal and Belize was predominantly normal ranging to moderately wet in the southeast.

September 2021 to February 2022

Normal to below normal conditions prevailed throughout the eastern Caribbean over the six month period. Hispaniola ranged from normal to exceptionally dry. Jamaica was predominantly normal ranging to slightly dry in the extreme south, west and eastern areas. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba ranged from exceptionally dry in western areas to normal in eastern areas. Northern Bahamas ranged from very wet to moderately dry and Belize ranged from moderately dry in southern and northwestern areas to normal.

March 2021 to February 2022

Apart from in the southern portion of the chain that was above normal, over the twelve month period normal to below normal conditions prevailed throughout the eastern Caribbean. Trinidad predominantly moderate to slightly wet in the extreme northeast; Tobago and Grenada predominantly normal to slightly wet; Barbados and St Maarten severely dry to normal; St Vincent and Dominica moderate to severely dry; Saint Lucia predominantly severe to extremely dry in the extreme north; Martinique exceptional to severely dry; Guadeloupe moderate to exceptionally dry west to east; Antigua exceptionally dry; St Kitts slight to moderately dry; Anguilla slightly dry to slightly wet south to north; St Croix moderately dry and St Thomas normal. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from slight to exceptionally wet. Aruba was slightly dry and Curacao normal. Puerto Rico ranged from normal in the south to slightly wet in the north.  Hispaniola was predominantly normal with slightly wet conditions on the northern Haiti/ Dominican Republic border, ranging to severely dry in the extreme south and in the southeast of the Dominica Republic. Jamaica was predominantly normal ranging to severely dry in the south and to slightly wet in the north. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba ranged from exceptionally dry in the extreme west to moderately wet in the extreme southeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to severely dry and Belize ranged from normal in the west to moderately dry in the south and north.

March 2020 to February 2022

Apart from the extreme south and north of the chain, normal to below normal conditions were experienced throughout the eastern Caribbean over the two year period. Trinidad and Anguilla ranged from slightly wet to normal; Tobago, Barbados and St Thomas normal; Grenada normal to slightly dry; St Vincent and Antigua severe to extremely dry; Saint Lucia and Guadeloupe moderate to exceptionally dry; Martinique extreme to moderately dry; Dominica extreme to slightly dry; St Kitts moderate to slightly dry; St Maarten severely dry to normal and St Croix moderately dry. Jamaica was predominantly between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer with western areas up to 1.50 oC warmer. Cuba was between 0.75 oC to 1.50 oC warmer. Grand Cayman was between 0.25 and 1.50 oC warmer. Northern Bahamas ranged from 0.75 to 2.50 oC warmer.

October to December 2021

Mixed temperature anomalies prevailed in the eastern Caribbean for the period October to December 2021. Trinidad, Tobago, Grenada, Barbados, St. Kitts and St. Maarten between 0.25 and 0.75 to oC warmer than normal; Saint Lucia, Dominica and Guadeloupe between 0.25 warmer to 0.25 oC cooler; Martinique between 0.25 to 0.75 oC cooler; Antigua and St. Thomas between 0 and 0.25 oC warmer; and St. Croix between 0 to 0.75 oC warmer. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from at least 0.75 oC cooler to 1.50 oC warmer. Aruba was between 0 and 0.75 oC warmer and Curacao was up to 0.25 oC cooler. Puerto Rico was between 0.25 and 1.50 oC warmer. Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jamaica and Grand Cayman were between 0.25 and 0.75 oC warmer. Northern Bahamas was between 0.25 oC cooler and 0.75 oC warmer.

July to December 2021
