Mixed conditions prevailed throughout the islands of the eastern Caribbean during the month of February. Trinidad was predominantly normal, apart from the southwest which was slightly dry; Tobago, Dominica, St Croix and St Thomas normal; Grenada moderate to very wet; Saint Lucia and Martinique normal to moderately dry; Barbados normal to moderately wet; St Vincent moderately dry; Guadeloupe slightly wet in the west to moderately dry in the east; Antigua moderately wet; St Kitts mostly exceptionally wet, with extremely wet conditions in the extreme north; and St Maarten normal. In The Guianas, conditions ranged from normal in northern Suriname to exceptionally dry in in the vicinity of the southern Guyana/Suriname border, and east central French Guiana. Curacao was slightly dry. Puerto Rico ranged from slightly wet in the south west to exceptionally wet in the north east, with normal conditions on the south central to south eastern coast. Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally wet at the Dominican Republic/Haiti border to normal in the east, west and south.  Jamaica ranged from normal to moderately wet from south to north, except for slight to moderately dry conditions in the extreme east and the southern tip which was slightly dry. Grand Cayman was moderately dry. Cuba was predominantly normal, with the exception of slight to moderately wet conditions in the southeast. Northern Bahamas was normal. Belize was mostly normal with the exception of a small area in the east which was slightly dry and parts of the western border and extreme south which was slight to moderately dry.

December 2019 to February 2020

Mixed conditions prevailed throughout the islands of the eastern Caribbean during the three month period. Trinidad, Tobago, Grenada, Martinique and St Croix were normal; Barbados moderately dry in the extreme south east to normal on the north western border; St Vincent severe to moderately dry from south to north; Saint Lucia slightly dry; Dominica mostly exceptionally wet with severe to slightly wet conditions in the north east; Guadeloupe moderately wet to slightly dry from west to east; Antigua moderate to slightly wet; St Kitts exceptionally wet; St Maarten moderately wet; and St. Thomas very wet. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal in the southern half of Guyana, northern portions of Suriname and south eastern French Guiana, to severely dry in northern Guyana, and to exceptionally dry in north western French Guiana . Curacao was normal. Puerto Rico was predominantly exceptionally wet. Hispaniola ranged from very wet in the north to slightly dry in the southeast. Jamaica was predominantly normal except for the extreme west which was slightly wet.  Grand Cayman was slightly dry to normal from west to east.  Cuba was predominantly normal, except for slightly dry conditions in east central areas. Northern Bahamas was predominantly normal, with a small area which was slightly wet. Belize was predominantly normal, with slight to moderately dry conditions on the western border.

September 2019 to February 2020

Apart from Dominica that was normal to slightly wet, rainfall in the islands of the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal for the six month period. Trinidad was moderately dry in the extreme south west to normal in the extreme north east; Tobago, Grenada, Antigua, St Kitts and St Maarten were normal; Barbados and Saint Lucia moderate to exceptionally dry; St Vincent exceptionally dry; Martinique normal in the south to severely dry in the north; Guadeloupe normal to exceptionally dry from west to east; St Croix severely dry and St Thomas normal. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from slightly wet in southern Guyana to predominantly normal to severely dry in northern Guyana and north eastern Suriname and exceptionally dry in North West and north east French Guiana. Curacao was moderately dry. Puerto Rico was severely dry to very wet from west to north east. Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry in central Dominican Republic to normal in the east and west. Jamaica was predominantly normal with slight to moderately dry conditions in the North West. Grand Cayman was extreme to severely dry from west to east. Cuba ranged from severely dry in west central areas to slightly wet in the extreme west and predominantly normal in the east. Northern Bahamas ranged from slight to extremely dry from south to north, and  Belize ranged from normal in the south to moderately dry in the north.

March 2019 to February 2020

Rainfall in the islands of the eastern Caribbean ranged from normal to below normal over the twelve month period. Trinidad was extreme to slightly dry; Tobago, Dominica and St Kitts normal to slightly dry; Grenada, Antigua, St Maarten and Anguilla normal; Barbados and Saint Lucia severe to exceptionally dry; St Vincent moderately dry; Martinique moderate to severely dry; Guadeloupe normal to extremely dry from west to east; St Thomas slight to moderately dry and St Croix severely dry. Conditions in the Guianas  ranged from  predominantly normal  to moderately wet in north central areas of Guyana, and to slightly dry in the north of Guyana, to severely dry in north eastern Suriname and to exceptionally dry in northwest and north east  of  French Guiana. Curacao was moderate to severely dry. Puerto Rico was predominantly normal, with slightly dry conditions in a very small area in the extreme southwest. Conditions in Hispaniola ranged from normal in the south extremely dry in northern Dominican Republic, and to exceptionally dry in western Haiti. Jamaica ranged from slightly dry in central areas to slightly wet in the west, and to moderately dry in the northwest and in the east. Grand Cayman was severely dry. Cuba ranged from moderately wet in the northwest to exceptionally dry in the east. Northern Bahamas ranged from moderately wet in the south to extremely dry in the north. Belize ranged from normal in the south to exceptionally dry in the north.

March 2018 to February 2020

Rainfall in the eastern Caribbean was predominantly normal to below normal over the two year period. Normal to above normal rainfall was experienced in most of the islands of the eastern Caribbean, during the month of January. Trinidad, Barbados, St Vincent, St Lucia, Martinique were normal; Tobago normal to slightly wet; Grenada  normal to slightly dry; Dominica moderate to extremely wet; Guadeloupe moderately wet to normal from west to east; Antigua and St Croix, slight to moderately wet; St Kitts extremely wet; St Maarten very wet and St Thomas moderately wet. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal in northern Suriname and northeast Guyana to extremely dry in northern Guyana and exceptionally dry in the north east and northwest areas of French Guiana. Aruba and Curacao were normal. Puerto Rico was normal to exceptionally wet from west to east. Hispaniola ranged from extremely dry in the south to very wet in the north of the Dominican Republic. Jamaica was mostly normal with the exception of slightly dry conditions in west central areas. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba was predominantly normal, with the exception of a small area on the north eastern border which was slightly dry. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to moderately dry and Belize predominantly normal with the exception of slightly wet conditions in central areas.

November 2019 to January 2020

Mixed conditions prevailed in the eastern Caribbean over the three month period. Trinidad, Grenada, Martinique and St Croix were normal to slightly dry; Tobago, Antigua, St Maarten and St Thomas normal; Barbados and Guadeloupe normal to moderately dry; St Vincent severe to extremely dry; St Lucia moderate to severely dry; Dominica moderately wet to normal from south to north; and St Kitts normal to slightly wet. In the Guianas, conditions were mostly normal with the exception of slight to moderately wet conditions in the southern parts of Guyana to a slightly wet area in southeast French Guiana, slight to severely dry conditions in northern Guyana and north eastern French Guiana and slight to exceptionally dry in eastern Suriname and western French Guiana. Aruba was moderately dry and Curacao slight to moderately dry. In Puerto Rico moderately wet conditions prevailed with the exception of slightly dry conditions on the east to south east coast. Hispaniola ranged from slightly wet in north western Haiti to extremely dry in central Dominican Republic and to normal in the extreme east. Jamaica was predominantly normal with the exception of the northwest which was slightly dry. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba was mostly normal apart from slight to moderately dry conditions in the southeast and slight to moderately wet in the east. Northern Bahamas was normal and Belize normal in central areas to slightly dry in the north and to moderately dry in the west.

August 2019 to January 2020

Apart from Dominica hat was normal to slightly wet, normal to below normal rainfall prevailed over the eastern Caribbean for the six month period. Trinidad ranged from slight to moderately dry from west to east,; Tobago, Antigua, St Kitts, St Thomas and St Maarten normal; Grenada slight to moderately dry; St Vincent exceptionally dry; Barbados extreme to exceptionally dry; St. Lucia severe to exceptionally dry; Martinique normal to severely dry from south to north; Guadeloupe normal to exceptionally dry from west to east; and St Croix severe to extremely dry. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal to moderately wet, with the exception of slight to severely dry conditions in northern Guyana and eastern French Guiana, as well as slight to exceptionally dry areas in the vicinity of the northern Suriname/French Guiana border. Aruba was slightly dry and Curacao moderately dry. Puerto Rico was predominantly normal with slightly wet conditions in the northern areas. Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry in central Dominican Republic to slightly dry in the east and to normal for the majority of Haiti, except for a small area in the southwest which was slightly dry. Jamaica was mostly normal except for slightly dry conditions in the northwest, whereas Grand Cayman was extremely dry. Cuba ranged from moderately dry in west-central areas to slightly wet in the west and in the east. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal in in the south to extremely dry in the north. Belize was normal in the south to extremely dry in the northwest.

February 2019 to January 2020

Jamaica ranged from slightly dry in west-central and eastern areas to slightly wet in the west. Grand Cayman was moderate to severely dry. Cuba ranged from normal to moderately wet in west and from slight to exceptionally dry in the east. Northern Bahamas ranged from moderately wet in the south to extremely dry in the north. February 2018 to January 2020

Conditions in the Guianas ranged from slightly dry in northwest and northeast Guyana to extremely wet in southern Guyana and to exceptionally wet in south-eastern French Guiana. Curacao was normal. Puerto Rico, Hispaniola and Jamaica were normal to moderately wet, Grand Cayman was normal, while Cuba was predominantly normal with the exception of the extreme northwest that was slightly wet and some east central areas which were slight to moderately dry. Northern Bahamas was moderate to very wet. Belize, though mostly normal, was slightly wet in the east and slight to severely dry on the western border.

October to December 2019

Over the three month period, conditions in the eastern Caribbean were normal to below normal. Trinidad was normal to moderately dry from the south west to the north east; Tobago, Anguilla, St Maarten, and Dominica normal; Grenada, Martinique and St. Thomas normal to slightly dry; St Vincent and St. Croix severely dry; Barbados, St Lucia and Guadeloupe moderate to extremely dry; St Kitts slight to moderately dry from south to north, Conditions in the Guianas ranged from severely dry in the northern extreme of Guyana to extremely wet in the southern extreme of Guyana and central French Guiana. Curacao was moderately dry.  Puerto Rico was normal in the extreme north west to moderately dry in the south east , whereas Hispaniola was moderately dry in central Dominican Republic to normal in eastern Dominican Republic and most of Haiti. Jamaica was moderately dry in the northwest to normal in the west and east, whereas Grand Cayman normal. Cuba ranged from moderately dry in west central areas to slightly wet in the west and normal in the east. Northern Bahamas was normal to very wet from south to north. In Belize, conditions ranged from moderately wet in the south to slightly dry in the north and west.

July to December 2019

Rainfall over the six month period in the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal for the greater part. Trinidad was normal to severely dry; Tobago, Grenada, Dominica, and St Kitts normal to slightly dry; St Vincent extreme to exceptionally dry; Barbados severe to exceptionally dry from north to south; St Lucia moderate to extremely dry; Martinique normal in the south to moderately dry in the north; Guadeloupe normal in the west to exceptionally dry in the east;, Antigua, Anguilla and St Maarten were normal; St Croix was severe to extremely dry; and St Thomas slightly wet. In the Guianas, conditions mainly ranged from normal to exceptionally wet, with the exception of a slightly dry area in the extreme north of Guyana and slight to moderately dry conditions at the northern Suriname/French Guiana border. Curacao was moderately dry. Puerto Rico was predominantly normal, with the exception of the extreme south-western border which was slightly dry. Hispaniola ranged from normal over most of Haiti to exceptionally dry in east-central Dominican Republic. Jamaica was normal to moderately dry, whereas Grand Cayman was extremely dry.   Conditions in Cuba were normal to moderately wet from the central areas to the east, and to the west, with the exception of slightly dry conditions in the west-central area. Northern Bahamas ranged from very wet to extremely dry. Belize ranged from slightly dry in the south to exceptionally dry in the north.

Rainfall in the eastern Caribbean over the twelve month period was normal to below normal. Rainfall in the islands of the eastern Caribbean was predominantly normal to below normal for the month of November, with the exception of Trinidad, which was severely dry to slightly wet from the north east to the south west. Tobago, Barbados, St. Kitts, St Lucia and Martinique were normal to slightly dry; Grenada and Antigua normal; St Vincent and Dominica slight to moderately dry; Guadeloupe moderate to severely dry; St Maarten severe to extremely dry; and St Croix and St. Thomas slightly dry. In the Guianas, with the exception of northern Guyana, northern Suriname/French Guiana border and eastern French Guiana which were slight to moderately dry, conditions were normal to very wet.  Curacao was moderate to severely dry. Puerto Rico was normal to moderately dry from west to east. In Hispaniola, conditions ranged from moderately wet in the extreme north western areas of Haiti to moderately dry in eastern and the extreme southern areas of the Dominican Republic, as well as in the extreme southwestern tip of Haiti. Jamaica was predominantly normal with the exception of the extreme west which was slightly dry. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba was mostly normal with the exception of the extreme east which was slight to moderately wet. Northern Bahamas was normal to severely dry, whereas conditions in Belize were normal in the North West to severely dry in the east.

September to November 2019

Over the three month period, rainfall in the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal, except Tobago which though predominantly normal, was slightly wet in the extreme west.  Trinidad was normal to moderately dry; Grenada and Antigua normal; Barbados slight to extremely dry; St Vincent severe to extremely dry;  St Lucia moderate to extremely dry from north to south; Martinique was normal to extremely dry from south to north;  Dominica was slight to severely dry; Guadeloupe moderate to exceptionally dry; St. Kitts slight to moderately dry; St. Maarten and St Thomas, moderately dry; and  Croix moderate to severely dry. In the Guianas, conditions were predominantly normal to extremely wet with the exception of northern and south-western Guyana, northern Suriname/ French Guiana, and eastern French Guiana where rainfall was below normal and ranged to exceptionally dry. Curacao was moderately dry. In Puerto Rico, conditions were normal in the east to moderately dry in the extreme south west. In Hispaniola, apart from Haiti and western areas of the Dominican Republic that were normal, conditions were slight to exceptionally dry elsewhere. Jamaica was mostly normal with the exception of the north western areas which were slight to moderately dry, whereas, Grand Cayman was moderate to severely dry from east to west Eastern Cuba was normal to slightly dry, while the west was mixed with more central areas being slight to severely dry and the western extreme slight to very wet. Over the Northern Bahamas, conditions ranged from normal to moderately dry, and in Belize from normal in the south, to severely dry in central Belize.

June to November 2019

Rainfall in the Islands of the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal over the six month period. Trinidad was slight to extremely dry from south to north; Tobago normal to moderately dry; Grenada slightly dry; Barbados moderately dry in the north to exceptionally dry in southern areas; St Vincent severely dry; St Lucia and St Kitts slight to moderately dry; Martinique and Dominica normal to extremely dry; Guadeloupe normal in western areas to exceptionally dry in the east; Antigua, Anguilla, St Maarten and St Thomas normal; and St Croix severe to extremely dry. Rainfall in the Guianas was predominantly normal to above normal with up to exceptionally wet conditions in north central Guyana ,  but with areas surrounding the northern Suriname/French Guiana border being slight to exceptionally dry. Curacao was moderate to severely dry.  Puerto Rico was normal in the east to extremely dry in the extreme south western tip. In Hispaniola, conditions were normal in the west to extremely dry in the east, with slightly dry areas in the extreme north and south of Haiti. Jamaica was normal in the east to moderately dry in the northwest, whereas Grand Cayman was moderate to severely dry from east to west.  Conditions in eastern Cuba ranged from normal in the extreme east and southeast to very wet in the eastern central areas, while in the west conditions ranged from normal to moderately wet in the extreme North West, with the exception of a slightly dry area in west central locations. Northern Bahamas ranged from extremely dry in the extreme north and to moderately wet in the south. Belize ranged from slightly dry in the south to exceptionally dry in the north.

December 2018 to November 2019

Rainfall in the eastern Caribbean over the twelve month period was normal to below normal. Trinidad was predominantly exceptionally dry, with extreme to moderately dry areas in the extreme northeast. Grenada and St Thomas were slightly dry; St Vincent, St Croix and Martinique severely dry;  Barbados extreme to exceptionally dry from north to south; St Lucia extremely dry; Dominica moderate to extremely dry from north to south; Guadeloupe normal in the west to exceptionally dry in the east;. Antigua normal; St Kitts slight to severely dry and St Maarten moderately dry. Rainfall in the Guianas was predominantly normal to above normal, being up to very wet in central Guyana, with areas near the northern Suriname/French Guiana border being slight to exceptionally dry. Curacao was severe to extremely dry. Puerto Rico was moderately dry in the east to extremely dry in the west. Hispaniola ranged from slightly dry in central areas to exceptionally dry in the east and west. Jamaica was predominantly normal, with slightly dry conditions in the extreme east. Grand Cayman was slight to moderately dry from east to the west. Cuba ranged from normal in central areas to exceptionally dry in the east, and to moderately wet in the west and northwest. The islands of the eastern Caribbean were predominantly normal to below normal for the month of October, with the exception of a few areas   that were slightly wet. Trinidad, St. Lucia and Guadeloupe ranged from normal to moderately dry ;Tobago, Dominica and Anguilla normal to slightly wet; Grenada and St. Thomas slightly dry; Barbados moderate to severely dry; St Vincent and Antigua normal to slightly dry; Martinique from slightly wet in the south to moderately dry in the north;; St Kitts severely dry; St Maarten normal;; And St Croix moderately dry. In the Guianas, conditions were mainly normal to extremely wet, with the exception of the northern part of Guyana which was slight to severely dry , the west and south west of Guyana that ranged from slight to exceptionally dry, and north east French Guiana which was slight to moderately dry. Curacao was slightly dry. Conditions in Puerto Rico ranged from normal in the west to severely dry in the extreme south east. Conditions in Hispaniola ranged from normal in the east and extreme west to severely dry around the Haiti/Dominican Republic border. Jamaica was normal to slightly dry from east to west, while Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba was predominantly normal with the exception of slightly dry conditions in the west central areas, and in the extreme west which was slight to moderately wet. Northern Bahamas ranged from slightly dry to extremely wet. Belize ranged from normal in central areas to moderately wet in the north and to exceptionally wet in the south.

August to October 2019

Rainfall in the eastern Caribbean over the three month period was predominantly normal to below normal, with the exception of Guadeloupe that ranged from slightly wet to extremely dry from west to east. Trinidad and Martinique were normal to severely dry; Tobago and St Kitts normal to slightly dry; Grenada slightly dry; St Vincent moderate to severely dry from south to north; Barbados exceptionally dry; St Lucia normal to moderately dry from north to south; Dominica slightly wet in the north to moderately dry in the south; Antigua, Anguilla, St Maarten; St Croix and St. Thomas normal.  Conditions in the Guianas were primarily normal to exceptionally wet, with the exception of northern part of Guyana which was slightly dry. Curacao was normal to slightly dry. Puerto Rico was predominantly normal with the exception of the extreme south west which was slightly dry. In Hispaniola, conditions ranged from slightly wet at the northern Haiti/Dominican Republic border to slightly dry in the extreme southwest of Haiti and to exceptionally dry in southeast Dominican Republic. In Jamaica, conditions were normal in the east to moderately dry in the extreme northwest, but Grand Cayman extreme to exceptionally dry from east to west.  With the exception of west central areas that were slight to moderately dry, conditions in Cuba were normal to very wet in the west and normal to moderately wet in the east. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to moderately wet. In Belize, conditions ranged from extremely dry in central areas to normal in the north and south.

May to October 2019

For the six month period, rainfall in the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal with the exception of Guadeloupe that was slightly wet to extremely dry and Antigua that was normal to slightly wet. Northern Bahamas, ranged from very wet to extremely dry.  Belize was normal in the south to exceptionally dry in the north.

November 2018 to October 2019

Over the twelve month period, rainfall in the islands of the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal, except for Guadeloupe that ranged from moderately wet to moderately dry from west to east.  Trinidad was exceptionally dry, with the exception of the extreme north eastern tip which was moderate to extremely dry; Tobago moderate to exceptionally dry from west to east; Grenada and St Vincent moderately dry; Barbados exceptionally dry; St Lucia moderate to extremely dry from south to north;  Martinique severely dry; Dominica normal in the north to moderately dry in the south;;  Antigua normal; St Kitts slight to moderately dry;  St Maarten slightly dry; and St Croix severe to extremely dry and Most of the Guianas was normal, with slight to exceptionally wet conditions in central Guyana, slight to moderately dry conditions in northern Guyana and the central Suriname/French Guiana border, and slightly dry to exceptionally dry along coastal areas of French Guiana.  Curacao was severe to extremely dry. In Jamaica, conditions were mostly normal, with the exception of the east which was slight to moderately dry, the northern extreme which was slightly dry and the extreme west which was slight to moderately wet. Grand Cayman was predominantly severely dry. In Cuba, conditions were mostly normal in central areas, ranging from slight to exceptionally dry in the east, and slight to moderately wet in the west. Northern Bahamas ranged from moderately wet to extremely dry. Belize ranged from normal in the south to exceptionally dry in the north.

Trinidad, Antigua and St. Kitts were predominantly normal with some slightly wet areas ; Tobago moderately wet;;  Grenada moderate to very wet from north to south; Barbados, St. Maarten, Anguilla and St. Croix slight to moderately dry; St. Vincent moderately dry; St Lucia and Dominica normal to slightly dry; Martinique was normal to severely dry from south to north; Guadeloupe from moderately wet in the west to extremely dry in the east;; and St. Thomas normal. Curacao was predominantly normal. In the Guiana’s, conditions ranged from exceptionally wet in south-western Suriname to exceptionally dry at the northern Suriname/French Guiana border, with portions of north central Guyana being very wet and northern northern French Guiana extremely wet. Puerto Rico ranged from moderately wet in the east to moderately dry in the west. Conditions in Hispaniola ranged from normal to exceptionally wet from south to north, with the exception of the eastern central areas of the Dominican Republic which were slight to exceptionally dry. Jamaica was mostly normal with the exception of a small area in the extreme North West which was slight to moderately dry, and in the south that was slight to moderately wet. Grand Cayman was exceptionally dry. In Cuba, western and eastern areas were normal to moderately wet with west central areas being slight to moderately dry, while northern Bahamas ranged from severely dry to severely wet. Belize ranged from exceptionally dry in central areas to normal in the west and to moderately dry in the north and south.

July to September 2019

Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to very wet, and Belize was slight to exceptionally dry, from the south to  north.

October 2018 to September 2019

Conditions in the islands of the eastern Caribbean over the twelve month period were primarily normal to below normal, with the exception of a small area in the Leeward Islands that included Guadeloupe that was moderately wet to moderately dry from west to east. Trinidad ranged from moderately dry to exceptionally dry from the northeast to the southwest;; Tobago, St. Vincent, St. Maarten and Anguilla were normal to slightly dry; Grenada and Antigua normal; Barbados exceptionally dry; St Lucia normal to extremely dry from the south to the north; Martinique and St Croix severe to extremely dry; Dominica normal to severely dry from north to south; St. Kitts normal to moderately dry; and St. Thomas slight to moderately dry.  Curacao was normal to moderately dry. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from exceptionally wet in southwest Guyana and northern French Guiana to exceptionally dry around the northern Suriname/French Guiana border. Both Puerto Rico and Hispaniola were predominantly normal, but with Puerto Rico ranging from slightly dry in the southwest to moderately wet in the northeast, and Hispaniola from moderately wet in the northwest to severely dry in the east. Jamaica ranged from severely dry in the south to slightly wet in the northwest. May to July 2019

Apart from the nation of Antigua and Barbuda that received above normal rainfall, with Antigua being slight to moderately wet, the islands of the eastern Caribbean received normal to below normal rainfall for the three month period. Trinidad was normal to severely dry from southeast to northwest; Tobago, Barbados and St. Lucia normal to moderately dry; Grenada, St. Vincent, Anguilla and St. Maarten normal; Martinique, Dominica and St. Kitts slight to moderately dry; Guadeloupe predominantly normal with areas in the southeast that were slightly dry; and St. Croix and St. Thomas slightly dry. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from exceptionally wet in southwest and northcentral Guyana to slightly dry around the northern Suriname/French Guiana border, with Suriname being predominantly normal. Curacao was extremely dry. Puerto Rico was normal to slightly dry, but Hispaniola ranged from normal in eastern Dominican Republic and western parts of Haiti to exceptionally dry in the vicinity of the southern Haiti/Dominican Republic border. Conditions in Jamaica ranged from slightly wet in the extreme west to extremely dry in the south. Western Cuba was predominantly normal with the eastern Cuba slight to moderately wet, but northern Bahamas normal to very wet. Puerto Rico ranged from exceptionally dry to severely dry form southwest to northeast, and Hispaniola from exceptionally dry in the southwest to moderately wet in the east central areas. Conditions in Jamaica ranged from moderately wet in the west to slightly dry in the east, but Grand Cayman was moderate to very wet. Cuba was predominantly normal apart from west-central areas that were slightly dry and eastern areas that were slight to severely dry; but northern Bahamas was slight to moderately wet. Conditions in Belize ranged from slightly wet in the south to extremely dry in the north.

July 2018 to June 2019

Apart from Guadeloupe that was normal to slightly wet, rainfall in the islands of the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal for the twelve month period. Trinidad was normal to extremely dry from south to north; Tobago extremely dry to normal from west to east; Grenada and Antigua normal to slightly dry; Barbados slight to extremely dry; St. Vincent and St. Kitts slight to moderately dry; St. Lucia moderate to severely dry St. Thomas slight to moderately dry; Martinique severe to exceptionally dry; Dominica normal to severely dry; and St. Maarten severely dry. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from moderately wet in central Guyana to exceptionally dry in the northeast extremities on French Guiana, and to extremely dry along the northern Suriname/French Guiana border. Curacao was normal to slightly dry. Puerto Rico ranged from exceptionally dry in the west to moderately dry in the east, but Hispaniola was from exceptionally dry in the west, south and east to normal in east central areas of the Dominican Republic. Conditions in Jamaica ranged from slightly wet in the west to extremely dry in the east, but Grand Cayman was normal. Rainfall in the islands of the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal for the month of May, with the exception of Antigua, which was moderate to very wet and Guadeloupe which was normal to slightly wet. Trinidad, Tobago, and Martinique were normal to slightly dry; Grenada, St. Vincent, St. Lucia normal; Barbados and St. Maarten slightly dry; St. Kitts normal to moderately dry. Conditions in the Guianas were generally normal to above normal, ranging from extremely wet in north central areas of Guyana to slight to extremely dry in northern French Guiana. Curacao was slight to moderately dry.  Puerto Rico experienced normal to moderately wet conditions from northeastern to southwestern areas, with the exception of the extreme east which was slight to severely dry.  The Dominican Republic ranged from normal in the east to moderately dry in the west, whereas, Haiti, ranged from moderately dry in the east, to normal in north and south western areas. Jamaica was normal in the east, normal to slightly wet in the west, with central areas ranging from slight to moderately dry from north to south; but Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba was predominantly normal, with slight to moderately wet conditions in the western and eastern areas while Northern Bahamas was normal. In Belize, with the exception of the northern and western areas which ranged from slight to moderately dry, central to southern areas were normal to extremely wet.

March to May 2019

Mixed conditions were observed in the eastern Caribbean islands over the three month period. Trinidad was normal to severely dry, from northeast to southwest; Tobago normal; Grenada and St. Vincent slight to moderately wet;  Barbados and St. Lucia normal to moderately dry;  Martinique and Dominica slight to moderately dry; Guadeloupe normal to slightly wet; Antigua slightly wet, St. Kitts moderate to severely dry; and. St. Maarten extremely dry. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from slightly wet in northern Guyana to exceptionally dry in northern French Guiana, with Guyana being predominantly normal, and Suriname and French Guiana predominantly below normal. Curacao was normal. .Puerto Rico was predominantly normal, with the extreme southeastern area ranging from slight to moderately wet, whereas, the extreme north ranged from slightly dry in the west, to severely dry in the northeast. Hispaniola was predominantly normal, particularly over the Dominican Republic with the exception of the northwestern and southern tip that were slightly dry, and in the west, north and south that were slight to moderately dry. Jamaica ranged from slightly dry to normal from central to eastern areas, with western areas ranging from normal to extremely wet; but Grand Cayman was normal to slightly wet, from west to east. Cuba was predominantly normal, with slightly wet areas in the northeast, south and west, however slight to severely dry in the east, whilst Northern Bahamas ranged from slightly wet to slightly dry. Conditions in Belize ranged from slight to extremely dry in the north, slight to moderately dry in the west, with predominantly normal conditions elsewhere, except for a small area in the center which was slightly wet, and the south which ranged from slightly wet to very wet.

December 2018 to May 2019

For the six month period, rainfall in in the islands of the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal. Trinidad ranged from moderately dry in the northeast to exceptionally dry in the southwest;  Tobago slight to moderately dry; Grenada, St. Vincent, Guadeloupe and Antigua normal; Barbados severe to extremely dry; St. Lucia moderately dry; . Martinique severely dry; and St Kitts slight to severely dry; and St Maarten exceptionally dry. Most of the Guianas was normal, but with slight to severely dry conditions in northern Guyana, slight to exceptionally dry in eastern Suriname and slight to exceptionally dry in western and the eastern French Guiana. Curacao was moderate to severely dry. Puerto Rico ranged from moderately wet to normal in the south, and slight to exceptionally dry in the north eastern areas. In Hispaniola, conditions ranged from normal in central and eastern parts and a portion of western Dominican Republic to severely dry, in southwestern Haiti. Jamaica was predominantly normal, with the exception of the western areas, which were slight to moderately wet, but Grand Cayman was slight to moderately wet from west to east. Most of the central areas of Cuba ranged from slight to very wet, with normal conditions in most western areas and in the extreme east. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to moderately wet, whereas, conditions in Belize were predominantly dry, ranging from slight to severely dry in the east and west, with normal conditions in the south.

June 2018 to May 2019

Over the twelve month period, rainfall in the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal, with the exception of Guadeloupe that was normal in the east and slightly wet in the west. Trinidad ranged from normal in the south to exceptionally wet in the northwest; Tobago slight to extremely dry, from east to west; Grenada slightly dry; Barbados moderate to extremely dry , St. Vincent and St. Kitts were slight to moderately dry; St. Lucia and St. Maarten severely dry; Martinique severe to extremely dry; Dominica normal to severely dry from north to south; Antigua normal to slightly dry. Conditions in the Guianas were mostly normal, but ranged from slightly wet in central and southwest Guyana and southeastern French Guiana to severely dry in northeast Guyana, the central Suriname/French Guiana border and northeast portions of French Guiana. Curacao was normal. Puerto Rico ranged from normal in the south to severely dry. Conditions in Hispaniola ranged from moderately dry over much of the northern half of the Dominican Republic exceptionally dry in the west and south. Jamaica was mostly normal, except for areas in the east and southeast which were slight to extremely dry and in the northwest that was slight to moderately dry, but Grand Cayman was slightly dry. In Cuba, conditions in the extreme east ranged from slight to exceptionally dry, whereas, east central and extreme western areas were normal, with some areas in west central ranging from slight to moderately dry. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to slightly dry, whereas in Belize, conditions ranged from normal in the south to moderately dry in the north, with extremely dry areas in the east.

Aruba was normal, but Curacao normal to slightly dry. Conditions in Puerto Rico ranged from slightly dry in the northwest to very wet in the southeast, while Hispaniola ranged from moderately wet in southern Dominican Republic to moderately dry in the north and extreme east. Conditions in Jamaica ranged from slightly dry in the south to moderately wet in the west and slightly wet in the east, but Grand Cayman was moderate to very wet. Conditions in Cuba ranged from moderately wet in the south to slightly dry in the extreme west and normal to the east; but Northern Bahamas was normal. Belize ranged from extremely dry in the west to very wet in central areas.

February to April 2019

A mixture of below normal and above normal rainfall was experienced across the eastern Caribbean islands. Trinidad ranged from severely dry in the southwest to normal in the northeast; Tobago, Grenada and St. Vincent normal to slightly wet; Barbados, Guadeloupe and St. Thomas normal; Saint Lucia normal to slightly dry; Martinique and Antigua moderately dry; St. Kitts moderate to severely dry; St. Maarten exceptionally dry; and St. Croix moderate to severely dry. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from normal in northeastern Guyana to exceptionally dry in much of French Guiana and eastern Suriname and extremely dry in northern Guyana. Aruba was severe to extremely dry, but Curacao normal to slightly dry. Conditions in Puerto Rico ranged from severely dry in the northwest to moderately wet in the southeast, but Hispaniola was predominantly normal with parts of southern Dominican Republic being slightly wet and parts of eastern DR slight to exceptionally dry. Jamaica was predominantly normal, with the west being slight to extremely wet and the east slight to moderately wet; but Grand Cayman was slight to moderately wet. Northern Bahamas was normal. Most of Belize was normal, but much of the extreme east coast was slight to moderately dry, as well as areas in the west.

 

 

November 2018 to April 2019

The majority of the islands of the eastern Caribbean experienced normal to below normal rainfall for the six month period. Trinidad ranged from exceptionally dry in the west to moderately dry in the east; Tobago and Martinique moderate to severely dry; Grenada normal; Barbados, St. Maarten and St. Croix moderately dry; St. Vincent slightly dry; Saint Lucia normal to moderately dry; Dominica normal to slightly wet; Guadeloupe very wet in the west to normal in the east; Antigua normal to slightly dry; St. Kitts slight to moderately dry; and St. Thomas normal. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from normal in southern and eastern Guyana, western Suriname and southeastern French Guiana to exceptionally dry in northern Guyana, northeastern Suriname and much of the northern half of French Guiana. Aruba was moderately dry, but Curacao severely dry. Conditions were mixed in the eastern Caribbean for the month of March. Trinidad, Tobago, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Antigua and St. Thomas were all normal or predominantly so; Barbados normal to slightly wet; St. Vincent very to extremely wet; Martinique slight to moderately dry; Dominica moderately dry; Guadeloupe slightly dry St. Kitts moderate to severely dry; St. Maarten severely dry; and St. Croix severe to extremely dry. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from exceptionally dry in parts of southern Guyana and much of French Guiana to normal in northeastern Guyana. Aruba was slightly dry, but Curacao slight to moderately wet. Puerto Rico was normal to slightly dry, but Hispaniola ranged from normal in the west, south and east to very wet in north-western Dominican Republic. Jamaica was predominantly normal, with above normal rainfall in the southern and western extremities, and below normal in the norther extremities, but Grand Cayman was normal.
