Mixed conditions prevailed throughout the islands of the eastern Caribbean during the month of February. Trinidad, Barbados, Saint Lucia and Martinique moderately wet to normal; Tobago and Dominica normal to very wet; Grenada slightly wet to normal; St Vincent, St Maarten, Anguilla and St Thomas normal; Guadeloupe extremely wet in the west to moderately dry in the east; Antigua slight to moderately dry; St Kitts slightly dry and St Croix slightly dry to normal. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from very wet in the vicinity of the southern border of Guyana/Suriname to moderately dry in northeastern Guyana and northern French Guiana. Curacao moderately wet and Aruba normal. Puerto Rico ranged from moderately dry in western areas to slightly wet in the northeast. Hispaniola ranged from severely dry to slightly wet. Jamaica ranged from moderately dry in southern areas to very wet in the west and to moderately wet in the east. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba was predominantly normal ranging to slightly dry in the extreme east and to moderately wet in the southeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to slightly dry and Belize ranged from severely dry in the west to normal in eastern and northeastern areas.

December 2020 to February 2021

Conditions in the eastern Caribbean were predominantly normal to below normal during the three month period. Trinidad, Saint Lucia, Dominica and Guadeloupe normal to moderately dry; Tobago severely dry to normal; Grenada and Anguilla normal; Barbados slight to moderately wet; St Vincent extreme to moderately dry; Martinique normal to extremely dry; Antigua moderate to severely dry; St Kitts slight to moderately dry; St Maarten moderately dry to normal; St Croix slightly dry and St Thomas moderately dry. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal in northeastern Guyana, northern Suriname and French Guiana to exceptionally wet in southeastern Suriname. Aruba and Curacao were normal. Puerto Rico ranged from moderately dry in the extreme southwest to normal in the east. Hispaniola ranged from normal to extremely dry. Jamaica ranged from extremely dry in the south to moderately wet in the north. Grand Cayman ranged from moderate to slightly dry west to east. Cuba was predominantly moderately dry ranging from slightly dry in the extreme west to slightly wet in the southeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to moderately dry and Belize was moderately dry in the south to extremely wet in the north.

September 2020 to February 2021

During the six month period, mixed conditions were seen throughout the eastern Caribbean. Trinidad was moderately wet to moderately dry; Tobago , Grenada, St Kitts slightly dry to normal; Barbados very to slightly wet; St Vincent and St Croix moderate to slightly dry; Saint Lucia normal to slightly wet; Martinique moderately wet to severely dry; Dominica normal to extremely wet; Guadeloupe normal to moderately wet; Antigua, St Maarten, Anguilla and St Thomas normal. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal in the northern Suriname/French Guiana border   to exceptionally wet in the vicinity of the south central border of Suriname/ French Guiana. Aruba was normal and Curacao slightly wet to normal. Puerto Rico ranged from moderately dry in the southwest to normal in the east. Hispaniola was predominantly normal ranging to moderately wet in northwestern Haiti and to severely dry in the extreme southwestern Dominican Republic.  Jamaica ranged from slightly dry in the west to extremely wet in the south and normal in the northeast. Grand Cayman was slightly wet. Cuba ranged from slightly wet in the southeast to very wet in northern areas. Northern Bahamas ranged from exceptionally wet to normal and Belize ranged from normal in the south to slightly dry in the west and exceptionally wet in the north.

March 2020 to February 2021

The eastern Caribbean was predominantly normal to below normal during the twelve month period. Trinidad normal to moderately dry from the southwest to the northeast; Tobago and St Croix slightly dry; Grenada and St Kitts slight to moderately dry; Barbados normal to slightly wet west to east; St Vincent severe to moderately dry; Saint Lucia and Dominica normal to severely dry; Martinique normal to extremely dry; Guadeloupe, Antigua, Anguilla and St Thomas normal; St Maarten slightly dry to normal. In The Guianas, conditions ranged from normal in northern areas and in the extreme southeast of French Guiana to exceptionally wet in northeast French Guiana. Aruba normal and Curacao slightly wet to normal. Puerto Rico was normal. Hispaniola ranged from extremely dry in the extreme southwest of the Dominican Republic to normal in western areas and the extreme east. Jamaica ranged from moderately dry in the west to moderately wet in the northwest and southeast. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba ranged from very wet in the west to normal in the east. Northern Bahamas ranged from exceptionally wet to normal and Belize was normal in the south, severely dry in the west and exceptionally wet in the north.

March 2019 to February 2021

Over the two year period conditions in the eastern Caribbean were predominantly normal to below normal. Trinidad ranged from predominantly severely dry to moderately dry in the extreme south, southwest and northeastern areas; Tobago and St Kitts normal to moderately dry;  Grenada , St Maarten and St Thomas normal to slightly dry; Barbados moderate to slightly dry south to north; St Vincent extreme to severely dry; Saint Lucia severe to exceptionally dry south to north; Martinique extreme to slightly dry; Dominica severely dry to normal south to north; Guadeloupe normal in the west to extremely dry in the east; Antigua normal; Anguilla normal to slightly wet and St. Croix moderately dry. Jamaica ranged from exceptionally dry in the west to moderately wet in the north and severely dry in the east. Grand Cayman was moderately dry. Cuba ranged from extremely dry in the northeast to slightly dry in the extreme west and slightly wet in the extreme southeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to severely dry and Belize ranged from slightly dry in the south to extremely wet in northern areas.

November 2020 to January 2021

Mixed conditions prevailed over the three month period in the eastern Caribbean. Trinidad ranged from very wet in the southeast to exceptionally dry in the northwest; Tobago and St Kitts slightly dry to normal; Grenada and St Thomas normal; Barbados, Saint Lucia and Guadeloupe normal to slightly wet; St Vincent  slight to moderately dry; Martinique slightly wet to exceptionally dry; Dominica exceptionally dry in the south to extremely wet in the northeast; Antigua slight to moderately wet; St Kitts normal to slightly dry; St Maarten moderately dry; and St Croix slightly dry. In The Guianas, conditions ranged from normal in northern French Guiana to exceptionally wet  in eastern portions of Suriname across the border to western portions of French Guiana. Aruba normal and Curacao slight to moderately wet. Puerto Rico was normal. August 2020 to January 2021

Over the six month period we saw mixed conditions throughout the islands of the eastern Caribbean.  Trinidad and Dominica ranged from extremely wet to moderately dry; Tobago, Saint Lucia, Antigua, St Kitts, St Maarten, Anguilla and St Thomas normal; Grenada slightly dry; Barbados extreme to moderately wet; St Vincent and St Croix slightly dry to normal; Martinique slightly wet to severely dry south to north; and Guadeloupe ranged from slightly dry in the west to slightly wet in the southeast. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal in southwestern Guyana, north eastern Suriname and north western and northeastern French Guiana to exceptionally wet in in eastern portions of Suriname across the border to western portions of French Guiana.  Aruba normal and Curacao slightly wet to normal south to north.  Puerto Rico ranged from moderately dry in the west to normal in the east. The Dominican Republic was predominantly normal ranging to moderately dry in the extreme southwest and slightly dry in the north.  Jamaica ranged from slightly dry in the west to exceptionally wet in the extreme north. Grand Cayman was moderately wet. Cuba ranged from slightly wet in east central areas to extremely wet in the extreme west  and eastern areas. Northern Bahamas ranged from slight to exceptionally wet and Belize was moderately dry in southern areas ranging to exceptionally wet in the north.

February 2020 to January 2021

Conditions in the eastern Caribbean were predominantly normal to below normal over the twelve month period. Trinidad and Tobago ranged from normal to moderately dry; Grenada slight to moderately dry; Barbados normal to slightly wet; St Vincent and Saint Lucia severe to moderately dry; Martinique normal to severely dry; Dominica extremely dry in the extreme south to normal in the north; Guadeloupe slightly dry to normal west to east; Antigua, St Kitts, St Thomas normal; St Maarten, and St Croix slightly dry.  In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal in northern and southern parts of Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana to moderately dry in northern French Guiana and to exceptionally wet in northeastern French Guiana. Aruba and curacao were normal. Puerto Rico ranged from normal in the south to slightly wet in the north.  The Dominican Republic ranged from extremely dry in the extreme southwest to normal in the northwestern quadrant and in extreme eastern areas. Jamaica ranged from severely dry in the extreme west to extremely wet in the north and to moderately wet in the east. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba ranged from normal in east central areas to very wet in the west, north central and extreme southeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from slight to exceptionally wet and Belize ranged from extremely dry in the south to exceptionally wet in the north.

February 2019 to January 2021

Over the two year period conditions in the eastern Caribbean were normal to below normal. In the Guianas, conditions were predominantly normal ranging to moderately wet in north central Guyana and northeastern French Guiana to exceptionally dry in northwestern French Guiana. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from extremely dry in southwestern Guyana to exceptionally wet in northern Guyana, as well as northern and northwestern French Guiana. Aruba normal and Curacao slight to moderately wet. Puerto Rico was predominantly normal with slightly dry areas in the southwest. Hispaniola was predominantly normal ranging to moderately wet in the extreme west of Haiti, slightly dry in southwestern Dominican Republic and slightly wet in the extreme east. Jamaica ranged from slightly dry in the west to exceptionally wet in eastern areas. Grand Cayman was moderately wet. Cuba ranged from moderately wet in the southeast to exceptionally wet in the extreme west and southeastern areas. June to November 2020

Hispaniola was predominantly normal, ranging from slightly wet in northern and eastern Dominican Republic to extremely dry in southeastern Dominican Republic. The islands of the eastern Caribbean were predominantly normal to above normal during the month of October. Trinidad ranged from normal in the southeast to very wet in the northwest; Tobago slightly wet; Grenada and St Vincent normal to slightly wet; Barbados extremely wet in the south to slightly wet in the north; Saint Lucia moderately wet; Martinique and Dominica moderate to very wet; Guadeloupe moderately wet to normal; Antigua, St Kitts, St Croix and St Thomas normal; and St Maarten moderate to exceptionally wet. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from exceptionally dry in southwestern Guyana and from severely dry in northern Suriname, to exceptionally wet in northeastern Guyana and very wet on the southern Suriname/ French Guiana border. Aruba was moderately wet and Curacao normal. Puerto Rico ranged from slightly dry in the west to normal in the east. Hispaniola ranged from extremely dry on the central border of Haiti and the Dominican Republic to normal in eastern areas and in the extreme southwest. Jamaica ranged from exceptionally wet in the extreme south to normal in the extreme west and northeastern areas. Grand Cayman was moderately wet. Cuba ranged from exceptionally wet in the extreme west to slightly dry in the southeast. Northern Bahamas ranged from moderate to extremely wet. Belize was predominantly normal with slightly wet areas in the southeast and extreme north.

August to October 2020

Conditions in the eastern Caribbean were mostly normal to above normal over the three month period. Trinidad ranged from extremely dry in the southeast to exceptionally wet in the northwest; Tobago, Martinique and Dominica normal to slightly wet; Grenada normal to slightly dry; St Vincent, Saint Lucia, Guadeloupe, Antigua, St Kitts, St Croix and St Thomas normal; Barbados extremely wet in the south to moderately wet in the north; St Maarten moderate to slightly wet west to east. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from moderately dry in southwest Guyana and severely dry in northeastern French Guiana to extremely wet in northern French Guiana. Aruba slightly wet and Curacao predominantly normal with slightly dry areas in the southeast. Puerto Rico ranged from severely dry in the west to normal in the east. Hispaniola was predominantly normal ranging to moderately dry in northern Dominican Republic. Jamaica ranged from very wet in southern areas to slightly dry in the west and normal in the northeast. Grand Cayman was moderately wet. Cuba ranged from extremely wet in the west to normal in the east. Northern Bahamas ranged from normal to exceptionally wet and Belize was moderately dry in the south to normal in the north.

Over the six month period conditions in the eastern Caribbean were predominantly normal to below normal. Trinidad ranged from moderately dry in the southeast to moderately wet in the northwest; Tobago and Martinique normal to moderately dry; Grenada, St Vincent,  Dominica, Guadeloupe  slight to moderately dry; Barbados moderate to slightly wet; Saint Lucia normal to severely dry; Antigua, Anguilla, St Maarten and  St Thomas normal; St Kitts and St Croix slightly dry to normal. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal in northern areas to exceptionally wet in northeastern French Guiana and slightly dry on the southern border of Suriname and French Guiana. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from predominantly normal to extremely dry in northern Guyana, to exceptionally dry in northwestern French Guiana and to moderately wet in northeastern French Guiana. Aruba was normal and curacao moderately dry. Puerto Rico ranged from severely dry in the west to moderately wet in the northeast. Hispaniola ranged from normal in the west to exceptionally dry in central Dominican Republic. Over the three month period, conditions in the eastern Caribbean were mixed. Trinidad , St Vincent,  St Kitts , St Croix, St Maarten, Anguilla and St Thomas normal; Tobago normal to moderately dry; Grenada normal to slightly dry; Barbados normal to moderately wet south to north; Saint Lucia and Martinique normal to severely dry; Dominica severe to slightly dry south to north;  Guadeloupe normal to extremely dry; Antigua normal to slightly wet. In the Guianas conditions ranged from moderately wet in  western , south western Guyana ,northern Guyana and Suriname border and north eastern French Guiana to very wet in central Suriname and slightly dry in northern Guyana. Aruba and Curacao were slightly wet. Puerto Rico ranged from normal in the southeast to extremely wet in the northwest.  Hispaniola was predominantly normal ranging from slightly wet on the central border to slightly dry in the extreme southwest of Haiti and southeastern areas of the Dominican Republic.  Jamaica was predominantly normal with the extreme western sections ranging to moderately wet. Grand Cayman was normal to slightly wet. Cuba ranged from moderately wet in western and west central areas to slightly dry in the extreme east. Northern Bahamas ranged from moderately wet to normal and Belize ranged from severely dry in the south and eastern areas to normal in the west, southeast and northern areas.

Conditions in the eastern Caribbean were normal to below normal during the six month period. Trinidad ranged from slightly dry in the southeast to moderately dry in the northwest, and normal in the extreme northeast; Tobago normal to extremely dry; Grenada, , St Kitts, St Maarten and Anguilla slightly dry; St Vincent  slight to moderately dry ; Barbados,  Antigua, St Croix and St Thomas normal; Saint Lucia slight to exceptionally dry; Martinique moderate to severely dry; Dominica extreme to severely dry; Guadeloupe ranged from slight to exceptionally dry from west to east with the exception of the extreme northwest which was normal. In The Guiana’s conditions were predominantly normal, ranging from severely dry in northern Guyana , southern Suriname /French Guiana border, to exceptionally wet in northeastern French Guiana. Aruba and Curacao were normal. In Puerto Rico, conditions ranged from slightly dry in the southeast to moderately wet in the extreme northwest.  Hispaniola ranged from normal in northern and north central areas to severely dry in south western Haiti and exceptionally dry in a small area in the south of the Dominican Republic. Jamaica was predominantly normal ranging from moderately dry in the southwest to slightly wet in the northwest. Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba ranged from very wet in the extreme west to extremely dry in the east. Northern Bahamas ranged from slight to exceptionally wet and Belize was predominantly normal ranging to moderately dry in the southwest and northeast.

Trinidad and Guadeloupe were normal to exceptionally dry; Tobago moderate to extremely dry; Grenada slightly dry; Barbados and St Vincent extreme to exceptionally dry; Saint Lucia exceptionally dry; Martinique exceptional to moderately dry south to north; Dominica severe to moderately dry from south to north; Antigua normal; St Kitts slight to moderately dry; St. Maarten moderately dry; and St Croix severely dry.  Conditions in the Guianas ranged from exceptionally wet in central Guyana to exceptionally dry in northern Guyana and the vicinity of the central to northern Suriname/ French Guiana border into northwest French Guiana. Aruba and Curacao were moderately dry. Puerto Rico ranged from severely dry in the extreme southwest to normal in central and eastern areas. Hispaniola ranged severely dry in north western Dominican Republic to exceptionally dry in western and eastern areas. Jamaica was predominantly normal, ranging from extremely dry in the east. Trinidad and Antigua were normal to slightly dry; Tobago normal to severely dry; Grenada, Barbados, St Vincent, St Croix and St. Thomas normal; Saint Lucia slightly wet in the south to moderately dry in the north; Martinique slight to extremely dry from south to north; Dominica severe to slightly dry; Guadeloupe mostly normal to extremely dry from west to east; St Kitts moderate to extremely dry; and St Maarten moderately dry. Most of the Guianas was normal to slightly wet, but ranged from very wet in north eastern French Guiana to moderately dry in north western French Guiana. Curacao was normal to slightly wet and Aruba was normal. Puerto Rico ranged from predominantly normal in central areas to moderately dry in the southeast and to slightly wet in the north west. Hispaniola ranged from normal in most of Haiti and north western Dominican Republic to extremely dry in east central Dominican Republic. Jamaica ranged from normal to very wet in the extreme north. Grand Cayman was moderately dry. Cuba ranged from moderately dry in western areas to normal in the extreme west and to moderately wet in the extreme south-eastern tip. Northern Bahamas though predominantly normal was slightly dry in the north. Over the three month period, rainfall in the eastern Caribbean was normal to below normal. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal to moderately dry in northern Guyana, northern Suriname , northern  French Guiana ,  and the southern Suriname/French Guiana border, and to exceptionally wet in north eastern French Guiana. Curacao was slightly dry and Aruba moderate to severely dry. Puerto Rico ranged from moderate to slightly dry from south to north. Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry in southern areas to normal in Northern Dominican Republic. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from extremely dry in northern Guyana to, moderately dry in northeast central Suriname.  to exceptionally wet in northeast French Guiana. Aruba was extreme to exceptionally dry and Curacao normal. Puerto Rico ranged from moderately dry in the south to normal in the north. Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry in a small area of southern Dominican Republic to normal in the north and eastern areas. Jamaica ranged from extremely dry in the west, to slightly dry in the east and normal in the north. Grand Cayman was moderate to severely dry. Cuba ranged from moderately wet in the west to moderately dry in the east. In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal to extremely dry in northern Guyana, and to moderately wet in north-eastern French Guiana. Aruba was moderately dry and Curacao normal. Puerto Rico ranged from exceptionally dry in the extreme southwest to extremely wet in the northeast. Mixed conditions prevailed throughout the eastern Caribbean during the three month period. Trinidad ranged from extremely dry in the extreme southwest to normal in the northeast; Tobago and Dominica normal to slightly dry; Grenada normal to slightly wet; Barbados slightly dry; St Vincent moderately dry; Saint Lucia and Martinique moderate to severely dry; Guadeloupe very wet in the west to moderately dry in the east; St Kitts slight to moderately wet; Antigua, St Maarten, Anguilla, St Croix and St Thomas normal. Apart from the extreme eastern areas of the Dominican Republic which were slight to moderately wet, Hispaniola ranged from normal to moderately dry. Cuba ranged from exceptionally dry in central areas to moderately dry in the west and to normal in the southeast. Jamaica was moderately dry in the extreme west to normal in central and eastern areas. Grand Cayman was moderately dry. Cuba ranged from extremely dry in the north to normal in north western and south eastern areas. Northern Bahamas was extreme to moderately dry from south to north, and Belize ranged from predominantly normal, with slight to moderately dry areas in the west.

In the Guianas, conditions ranged from normal in eastern Guyana and western Suriname to extremely dry in northern Guyana and exceptionally dry in north-eastern French Guiana. Curacao was moderately dry. Puerto Rico was predominantly normal with the exception of the extreme south east which was slight to moderately dry, the north west which was slight to severely dry and the north east which was slight to extremely wet. In Hispaniola, conditions ranged from normal in Haiti to moderately wet in eastern areas and slight to extremely dry in north central Dominican Republic. Jamaica ranged from slightly dry to normal from west to east, and Grand Cayman was slightly dry. Conditions in Cuba ranged from severely dry in west- central areas to normal in the east and west. Northern Bahamas ranged from severely dry to normal and Belize from slightly wet in the south to severely dry in the extreme west and slightly dry in the north.

April 2019 to March 2020
Conditions in the eastern Caribbean over the twelve month period were predominantly normal to below normal, with the exception of a small area which includes Antigua that was normal to slightly wet. Trinidad was slight to extremely dry; Tobago normal to slightly dry; Grenada, Dominica, St Kitts, St Maarten and Anguilla normal; Barbados exceptional to severely dry; St Vincent severely dry; Saint Lucia extreme to predominantly exceptionally dry; Martinique moderate to extremely dry; Guadeloupe normal to extremely dry from west to east; St Thomas slight to moderately dry and St Croix severely dry. In the Guianas, conditions were mostly normal ranging to moderately wet in central Guyana and exceptionally dry on the northern Suriname/French Guiana border. Curacao was moderate to severely dry. Puerto Rico ranged from severely dry in the west to slightly wet in the north east. Over Hispaniola, conditions ranged from extremely dry in north and south Dominican Republic to normal over the majority of Haiti and eastern Dominican Republic. Jamaica was predominantly normal with the exception of slight to moderately dry conditions in the southwest and northwest, and slightly dry in the east. Grand Cayman was extreme to severely dry from west to east. Western Cuba ranged from normal to moderately dry, and from normal to moderately wet in the east of the country. Northern Bahamas ranged from moderately wet to extremely dry south to north, and Belize from normal in the extreme south to exceptionally dry in the north and west.

April 2018 to March 2020
Rainfall over the islands of the eastern Caribbean for the two year period was mostly normal to below normal, with the exception of Guadeloupe that was slightly wet to exceptionally dry from west to east. Trinidad was slight to exceptionally dry from the south east to the north west; Tobago severe to moderately dry; Grenada slightly dry; Barbados and Saint Lucia exceptionally dry; St Vincent extreme to exceptionally dry; Martinique severely dry; Dominica moderately dry in the south to normal in the north; Antigua and St. Thomas normal; St Kitts normal in the south to slightly dry in the north; St Maarten and St Croix moderately dry. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from moderately wet in the extreme southwest of Guyana and northern Suriname to extremely dry along the north-eastern coast of French Guiana. Curacao was moderate to severely dry. Puerto Rico ranged from severely dry in the extreme southwest to normal in the east. Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry in the west and south, to moderately dry in north central areas. Jamaica ranged from slightly wet in the west to severely dry in the east, whereas, Grand Cayman was severely dry. Cuba ranged from slightly wet in the extreme west to exceptionally dry in eastern areas. Northern Bahamas ranged from slightly wet to extremely dry, and Belize from normal in the south to exceptionally dry in the west, north and east.
