Apart from Barbados that was moderate to exceptionally wet, and Trinidad that was normal to moderately wet, rainfall totals in the islands of the eastern Caribbean were normal to below normal. Tobago was moderately dry to normal from west to east; Grenada slightly dry; St. Vincent severely dry; St. Lucia normal to moderately dry; Martinique moderate to severely dry; Dominica normal; Guadeloupe slightly dry; and Antigua, St. Kitts, Anguilla and St. Maarten normal. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from extremely wet in northern portions of Guyana to moderately dry in the vicinity of the norther French Guiana/Suriname border. Aruba was slightly dry but Curacao normal. Puerto Rico was normal to slightly dry, while Hispaniola ranged from normal in the northwest to moderately dry in the east and south. Conditions in Jamaica ranged from normal in the south to exceptionally dry in the north, but Grand Cayman was moderately wet. Conditions in Cuba ranged from normal in the west and east to exceptionally dry in the southeast and severely dry in the northwest, while northern Bahamas ranged from normal to extremely dry. Belize ranged from moderately wet in the west to extremely dry in the east.

Conditions in the Guianas ranged from exceptionally wet in northern Guyana to normal in eastern Guyana, across northern Suriname into western French Guiana. Aruba was moderately dry, but Curacao normal. Apart from in the west that was slightly dry, Puerto Rico was normal; but Hispaniola ranged from extremely dry in the south to normal in the east and northwest. Conditions in Jamaica ranged from extremely dry in the northwest to slightly wet in the east, while Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba and northern Bahamas ranged from normal to moderately dry. Belize was normal in the south to severely dry in the northwest.

For the six month period, apart from Trinidad that was moderately dry in the north to moderately wet in the south, rainfall totals were normal to below normal in the islands of the eastern Caribbean. Tobago was exceptionally dry in the west to normal in the east; Grenada, Martinique, Dominica and St. Kitts normal to slightly dry; Barbados moderately dry to normal; St. Vincent severely dry; St. Lucia moderate to exceptionally dry; Guadeloupe normal to severely dry from west to east; Antigua and St. Maarten moderate to severely dry. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from exceptionally wet in southern Guyana to normal in northern Guyana and the central Suriname and French Guiana border. Aruba was moderately dry and Curacao slightly dry. Puerto Rico was slightly dry, but Hispaniola was exceptionally dry in the south to normal in the east and to slightly dry in the west. Conditions in Jamaica ranged from extremely dry in the north to moderately wet in the west and to slightly wet in the east, but Grand Cayman was normal. Cuba was predominantly normal, apart from the west that was slight to very wet, and northern Bahamas was also normal to moderately wet. Conditions in Belize ranged from normal in the south to severely dry in the northwest.

Mixed conditions were experienced in the islands of the eastern Caribbean for the twelve month period. Trinidad ranged from moderately dry to exceptionally wet; Tobago moderately dry to moderately wet; Grenada normal; Barbados normal to moderately wet; St. Lucia predominantly moderately dry; Martinique normal to moderately dry; Dominica normal to slightly wet; Guadeloupe normal to extremely dry; Antigua moderate to extremely dry; St. Kitts slightly dry; and St. Maarten moderately dry. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from normal in most of Guyana and portions of Suriname and French Guiana to moderately wet in parts of all three countries. Aruba was moderately dry, and Curacao normal. Puerto Rico was normal, but Hispaniola ranged from extremely dry in the south to normal in most of the island and to moderately wet in the west. Conditions in Jamaica ranged from slightly dry in the southwest to extremely wet in the east, while Grand Cayman was slightly wet. Most of Cuba was normal but ranged to extremely wet in the east and slightly wet in the west, but northern Bahamas was normal to moderately wet. Conditions in Belize ranged from moderately wet in the south to extremely dry in the east and to normal in most of the country.

Mixed conditions were experienced in the islands of the eastern Caribbean for August. Trinidad ranged from exceptionally wet in the southwest to moderately dry in the northeast; Tobago normal; Grenada moderate to very wet; Barbados normal in the northwest to moderately wet in the southeast; St. Vincent and Guadeloupe normal to slightly dry; St. Lucia slight to moderately dry; Martinique, Dominica, Antigua, St. Kitts and St. Maarten normal; and Anguilla slightly dry. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from moderately wet in northern and southwestern Guyana and at the northern border of Suriname and French Guiana to moderately dry in northwest Suriname and extremely dry in eastern French Guiana. Aruba was slightly dry but Curacao was normal. Puerto Rico was predominantly slightly wet, while Hispaniola ranged from extremely dry in south west Haiti to moderately wet in eastern Dominican Republic. Northern Bahamas ranged from slight to extremely dry. Conditions in Belize ranged from moderately dry in the west to extremely wet in the northeast and moderately wet in the south.

Though normal to below normal conditions dominated the islands of the eastern Caribbean for the three month period, portions of two islands experienced above normal rainfall – Trinidad that ranged from severely dry in the north to moderately wet in the south, and Guadeloupe that ranged from moderately wet in the west to exceptionally dry in the east. Tobago was moderate to exceptionally dry; Grenada and St. Kitts normal; Barbados slight to severely dry; St Vincent moderate to severely dry; St. Lucia severe to extremely dry; Martinique normal to moderately dry; Dominica normal to severely dry; Antigua slight to moderately dry; and St. Maarten moderately dry. Conditions in the Guianas ranged from extremely wet in the north and southwest Guyana to moderately dry in northeast Guyana and to normal in Suriname and French Guiana. Aruba was slightly dry while Curacao was normal. Puerto Rico was normal, but Hispaniola ranged from exceptionally dry in southern Haiti to normal in northern Dominican Republic. Jamaica ranged from moderately dry in the west to exceptionally dry in the east, while Grand Cayman was severe to extremely dry.
